This is a great start. My son is allergic to gelatin, so I am always looking for ways to get around it. (Gelatin is in marshmallows but not in marshmallow creme). So I followed the review from Chef4Six. The first time it didn't turn out so well. I tried again and wanted to post my results here. I used 16 ounces of marshmallow creme. Like the other review, I left out the water step. I too mixed it in the KA. I also mixed in about 1 Tablespoon of Crisco while it was in the mixer. While kneading it, I probably used about the full quarter cup of Crisco. My results were pretty close to Wilton Fondant. Not nearly as stretchy though. Will play with this recipea little more!
