Sausage Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2014
Made this without the spinach, and used mild farmers' sausage with casings removed. The kids don't like hot sausage. Meal was delicious. Definitely a keeper. The only change I would make next time is I don't think the olive oil was necessary. There was enough fat from the sausages.

Strawberry Shortcake

Reviewed: May 17, 2014
Made this with all the same ingredients and measurements, despite all the alterations I saw in the reviews, but to combat the dryness of the cake, I divided the batch of strawberries in half, mashed one half so that it would be juicier, and used this to cover the bottom layer. Then I used the other un-mashed half of the strawberries for the top half of the cake. I didn't want to mash that part so as not to ruin the look of the cake. It came out great! Giving it four stars though because I think the instructions for this recipe could be better.

Sweet Hot Mustard Chicken Thighs

Reviewed: May 6, 2014
This is the best chicken I have ever tasted in my life. Hands down. I made it as directed, however my local grocery store did not have chipotle pepper. Didn't matter. Was outstanding anyway. Me, my husband and two picky eater little boys all cleaned their plates. This will be my go-to chicken recipe from now on.

Vegetarian Korma

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2014
I made this recipe as per the instructions and myself and my 2 young boys found it absolutely delicious! I am wondering what people did about the can of tomato sauce. The cans of tomato sauce here in Canada are 14 ounces, but in this recipe it states: 1 (4 ounce) can tomato sauce. Not sure if the 4 ounces is a typo or if cans are smaller where the recipe's creator lives, but I decided to just use about 1/4 of my can and it came out great. I wonder if all the people who commented that they didn't like the tomato sauce used a full 14 oz can? Curious!

Quick Fish Tacos

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2014
This did not come out well at all. I made it exactly as per the ingredients/instructions. The sour taste was too overwhelming and the cabbage was too hard and didn't go well with the fish. My kids hated it from the first bite too. Won't be making this again.

Ratatouille Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2014
I made this recipe exactly as per the ingredients/instructions. It was very good, and the pasta made it a heartier meal. I packed up the leftovers and ate them for my lunches, and it still tasted good re-heated. Giving it a 4 instead of 5 only because I found the flavour a little bland, but I will make this dish again for sure.

Slow Cooker Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2014
I made this recipe exactly as per the ingredients/instructions. It came out very good and I will make it again, however I found it to have a stronger taste of tomato than my favourite butter chicken dish that I've had in the past. Next time I might omit the tomato paste entirely. It wasn't too spicey, so that was good because my kids were able to eat it. If you like it spicey though, you might want to add something to it to make it hotter.

Keon's Slow Cooker Curry Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2013
Someone call the fire department. I've got a raging fire in my throat. Unfortunately I am not experienced with cayenne pepper, so I followed the recipe. I assumed with all the stars it would be good, and didn't read the reviews. What person in their right mind would want to eat food that spicy?? Or at the very least, think that the majority of others would want it that way? At least call it "Keon's Insanely Spicy Curry Chicken" to give us some warning! I think a layer of skin was peeled off my tonsils.

Taco Avocado Wraps

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
It was ok, but too much cream cheese I think. I felt sick after two small wraps. My husband hated it because it was too creamy and no meat.

These hamburgers are awesome. I'm a pretty finicky meat eater, but I loved these burgers because they are so packed with flavour. I will definitely make these again.
