I'm am a full-time web and graphic designer in the Tech Center which doesn't leave me a lot of time to cook... So I am here to learn because I am getting married and that stupid biological clock is telling me to learn some new recipies!
My favorite things to cook
I love to make ethnic foods. My family orgin is German, so I grew up with Sobrotten, strawberry dumplings and kraut. My finace is Cuban/Hispanic and so he has made me addicted to a little spice. I am also altering my diet to be as cruelty-free as possible... so far we don't eat veal, lamb, beef, or pork. My rule is I dont eat anything cuter than me... jsut kidding. I would eventually like to be vegiterian or even vegan, so I would love to hear from others interested in or already living that lifestyle.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year for father's day and my dad and grandpa's birthday we all help mom and dad make our strawberry dumplings which are not on any sort of diet, but they are worth that extra 30 minutes on the treadmill!
My cooking triumphs
I made a quiche once... I took photos like it was my child - it was beautiful. I hope to have more cooking experiences like that.
My cooking tragedies
I cant get the idea through my head that metal + microwave = disaster. I am always trying to stick metal in the microwave... I started a fire once with an arby's wrapper.
