Parmesan Chicken II

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
My family (and myself) were not big fans of this one. Not sure what went wrong. I followed the comments of others...soaked my chicken in salt water for an entire day (did make it very tender) as far as the recipe itself went....the only thing I did was shake my chicken legs in flour before the egg and then parm...I dont know, probably just different tastes

Pretty Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2009
I made this yesterday and followed the recipe prettty much exactly - the ONLY thing I did different was to marinade for about 6 or 7 hours - that worked out just fine. My husband grilled it very slowly on low heat - Very tender and moist - my kids even enjoyed it (4 and 5 year old boys) The cut of meat I used was bone in chicken thighs - its a keeper

Chicken Quesadillas

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2009
I know how people feel about changing and then reviewing - however - I just want to point out that the only thing dif. I did was use a ginger marinade for the chix. instead of fajita seasoning - I marinaded for several hours (about 4) and I cooked the chix. in the marindade as well then let it rest and cut up! Husband and I were very happy - knew the kids would be a no go so we gave them something else - Will keep this one for sure!!11

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2009
Very good - my five year old son who normally will not eat any sort of gravy really enjoyed this and made a point to let me know several times - my husband commented on the meal alot - saying he liked this one better than the other recipe that I normally use - and that the gravy was REALLY good - I guess its a keeper

King Ranch Chicken Casserole III

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2009
okay so like everyone else I made changes - I cut chicken broth down to one cup and dipped my tortilla strips in it first - I also made my broth with the chicken bits that were left in the frying pan that I cooked the chicken in just adding some bou. and added my soups to that and simmered for a few minutes. The chicken I used was maritnated in a southwest marinade. I enjoyed the end result but my family didnt care for it. I dont know if I will make it again but only because I was the only one who will eat much of it

Restaurant-Quality Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2008
I made this last week and loved it - I did not change much at all - used half cream and 1/2 milk because that was all I had on hand and I added a pound of bacon to the recipe (not just on top). I did not have any green onions on hand so I skipped that. IT WAS SO GOOD - I raved about it for so long my husband asked if it was better than s** - I told him it was a toss up. ;-)

Barbie's Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2008
It is a little unfair to rate a recipe when you didnt follow it - but.....here goes - I didnt change much. I used mayo not m.w. I didnt use the dried onion flakes - I used red onion (about 1/4 cup) I didnt have sweet pickle relish so I used dill pickle relish - lastly I doulbled this so when I made it I cut back on the mayo by about 1/4. This was a hit! I made sandwhiches for my husband and I also put some on some Ritz for him and he really enjoyed it. I am doing the lo carb thing right now so I just ate it straight up - Really Really good and I will make again

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2008
Love it - the only change I make is that I use real bacon instead of bits and I use at least double if not more of the bacon - oh wait there is one more change - I add one less can of chili beans. Every one always loves this recipe and eats seconds and thirds - excellent with a dollop of S.C. on top and some shredded cheddar. I am not from Texas and have no idea how the chili tastes there but for my (and all my friends and family) Vermont taste buds its about perfect. Thanks so much for a great chili recipe

I didnt have a green pepper but I did have a red one so I used that - I doulbled the bacon and used more cheese than called for and added about a 1/2 cup of sour cream to the mix - it was great -my kids were a no go (they are 3 and 4 and dont like much) but the rest of us were happy
