Gingerbread Biscotti

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2013
I followed what another viewer mentioned about cutting in butter vs using oil. Especially since I don't know anything about making biscotti. This is really nice biscotti. I'm surprised with all the spices in it that its not more spicey. Maybe tomorrow after sitting overnight it will be.

Sourdough Starter

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2013
This is my first SD starter, but not my first time playing with yeast. This is a good recipe but you do have to feed the yeast something to keep it going.

Cake Mixes from Scratch and Variations

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2013
This is a very good recipe. If you want it moister go for an extra egg. Plus I found if making chocolate cake mix, baking soda seems to make it better.

Tater Tot Casserole II

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2013
This is a very good recipe. the only difference I do occasionally is add 1 jar gravy (or homade if I happen to have it) for one of the cans of soup. YUM!!!! Plus I add a small bag of frozen veggies.

Old Fashioned Onion Rings

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2013
yum yum yum, the only thing I did different was cornflakes instead of bread crumbs, cuz that's all I had. Buttermilk instead of regular milk. Oh and adding garlic, onion, salt, pepper, & cayene.

Gary's Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2013
These are absolutely wonderful. My kid begs me to make these. I used only 1C butter. I make double the mushrooms for the stuffing mix, & I still have left over mix. I think next time I'll add a lil bit of butter/seasonings to the inside of the mushroom cap before packing them.

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2012
I got rave reviews for this recipe. The only thing I did differently was to add 1C LESS BSUGAR, 1/2 the PSUGAR, so I also cut down on the milk

Kitty Litter Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2012
I made this last year and everyone just loved it! They've asked me to make it again this year. The only difference is I use SF cake mixes, SF pudding, and I also take the frosting out of the cookies. But I do that to make mice to put on another cake. YUM!

Apple Cake III

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2012
This is what I did for what I had here. **Cake** 1 sugar free yellow cake mix made the way it instructs because I only had (29oz) canned apple (pitched the light syrup in it) cut the apples in bite size pieces. **Topping** 1/4c + 1/8c sugar, 1/4c + 1/8c splenda. 1T whole white flour. 4T butter. 1T cinnamon, 1/4t nutmeg. I poured half the batter in prepared pan, sprinkled half the cinnamon/sugar/pecan mixture in the middle. Then sprinkled the rest on top. Is baking at this moment. **Next time I'll add the cinnamon/nutmeg right to the cake, it'll be evenly distributed through out the cake instead of concentrated parts throughout the crunch. Um yeah.

Giant Ding Dong Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
okay I'm trying to make the filling but no matter how long I beat it the sugar is still grainy. Maybe next time add the sugar in with the milk/flour mixture. ETA: I had to heat this up a little to get the sugar crystals to melt, I didn'twant grainy filling.

I have my own AB which has lots of cinnamon, nutmeg, & clove already. But I doubled the cinnamon in the recipe and I think these came out great. My whole house smelled awesome!

Banana Praline Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2010
I just took these out of the oven and taste good already. For me it made 12 small muffins. I like them a tad bigger so next time I'll try 8 or 10 muffins. ETA: I added a 1/2tsp baking soda and they rise just fine.
