Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2012
This recipe was a bit difficult to follow; however having watch risotto be made a thousand times, I did just fine. It was amazing!! I thought for sure there were too much mushrooms or it was going to be bland and it was simply amazing!!! I used Savignon Blanc for my white wine. Great recipe thanks for sharing.

Raspberry-Glazed Rosemary Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2012
I thought this was amazingly tasty. My recommendations is to pour our some of that broth from the pan before adding the glaze so it doesn't wash off.... and make extra glaze for each individual to add more to their chicken if they so choose. This was a great dinner and went well the Gourmet Mushroom risotto.

White Chili I

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2012
This is the first time I've ever made a pot of chili and had NO LEFT OVERS!! The entire family loved it. I would however lessen the amount of oregano in it, but everything else was amazing!! I used 2 kinds of white beans. We topped it with sour cream and green onions and it was perfect!!

Ghirardelli Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake Hearts

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2012
outstanding recipe!! I made it in just a springform pan, topped it with the ganache and piped pink white chocolate hearts all over it for Valentines day. Huge hit- crust was amazing; make a day in advance because it takes a long time to cool all the way through the springform. AMAZING RECIPE!!

Butter Beef

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2009
This is GREAT - however to get the flavor to come out - I added 3 packets of lipton onion soup mix - and cooked it in 1 cup of butter (not margarine) and cooked it on low for over 10 hours :) It was AWESOME served over noodles - I stirred in a little corn starch to thicken the juice just a little - it really was a GREAT recipe!! :)

Penne a la Vodka II

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
This recipe is absolutely EASY and full of taste. However; I added 4 cut up small chicken breasts, 1 extra clove of garlic, and some oregano. I also used Whole wheat Penne pasta. When I make this recipe again I will add 3 more cloves of garlic - totaling 6 cloves, a cup of diced onions, and a cup of sundried tomatoes along with everything else I added to begin with. This is a great recipe and my kids really loved it - it's definately a recipe we'll make over and over.

Kielbasa and Cabbage

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2007
What an awesome unique recipe!! My idea was to actually add 1 - 2 lbs. of bacon and after putting the rest of the dish together; add the crumbled bacon and mix toss it together with the dish. This is a great meal. With the left overs; I'll try the idea of stewed tomatoes for a whole new dish. :) This is a beautiful dish to also bring somewhere.

Egg in a Boat

Reviewed: May 15, 2006
My children love this concept. We watched V for Vendetta and decided to try it (they served it in the movie). Don't over cook your egg though because you need that yolk for moisture. It's easy and simple, and beats having to pop toast for every person having over easy eggs.

Fantastic Black Bean Chili

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2006
This recipe is good, it lacks enough items. I increased the tomatoes, and decreased a can of black beans and added a can of corn. I also think adding 1/2 cup of barley would be good.

The Ultimate Chocolate Bar

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2006
These are great! I substituted pecans for walnuts. I melted the cream cheese in the microwave before adding it to the pan for the frosting - everything came out nice and smooth! Delicious
