My favorite family cooking traditions
At Christmas time, we begin making cookies in November and freeze them. My children and I make frosted sugar cookies, chocolate chip, no bakes, russian teacups, spritz, butter sugar, chocolate covered cherry cookies, and texas sheetcakes. We do this every year, and then make trays of cookies to bring places.
My cooking triumphs
I once made a gourmet meal, it took me all day and it was absolutely fantastic.
My cooking tragedies
My first time making fajitas was absolutely tragic! They were horrible and my son actually said "wow these suck!" I couldn't be upset with him, because they did. I have since made them and they turned out terrific. LIVE AND LEARN!

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto
This recipe was a bit difficult to follow; however having watch risotto be made a thousand times, I did just fine. It was amazing!! I thought for sure there were too much mushrooms or it was going to be bland and it was simply amazing!!! I used Savignon Blanc for my white wine. Great recipe thanks for sharing.

Raspberry-Glazed Rosemary Chicken
I thought this was amazingly tasty. My recommendations is to pour our some of that broth from the pan before adding the glaze so it doesn't wash off.... and make extra glaze for each individual to add more to their chicken if they so choose. This was a great dinner and went well the Gourmet Mushroom risotto.

White Chili I
This is the first time I've ever made a pot of chili and had NO LEFT OVERS!! The entire family loved it. I would however lessen the amount of oregano in it, but everything else was amazing!! I used 2 kinds of white beans. We topped it with sour cream and green onions and it was perfect!!
