Hard Rock Candy

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2013
Wonderful candy! I halved the recipe so I could make more flavors with out having large batches of each. I made some using the candy oils just like the recipe says. Others I made using extracts or flavorings that you would get at any grocery store. ( Ex.. vanilla extract) When adding extracts or flavorings I just added 1 or 2 TABLESPOONS depending on how strong I wanted it. Parchment paper works great no powder sugar needed. So far I have maple made with flavoring. Pineapple made with candy oil and yellow food coloring. Strawberry-Banana made with strawberry extract and banana cream candy oil. Food coloring not needed as most oils and extracts or flavorings already have some color to them. Pineapple oil didn't so I added it in the others I left it out.

Peanut Butter Cake V

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2013
I did'nt change anything came out wonderful. For us it was like having a giant soft pb cookie ohh so good. Did have to take it out a few mins early as my gas stove bakes things a little faster. I think next time I'll try cupcakes. My son's 15 birthday was a hit with a giant reese's pb cup cake. Thanks for the wonderful recipe.

Peach Salsa II

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2011
Just made my first batch of this and would have to say it's wonderful. Will be making more with little less sugar as my 13 year old says it's little to sweet for him. The picky 8 year old says he loves it the way it is and has not put the bowl down. Thanks for the great recipe.

Easy Biscuit Mixture

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
Very good used it just as I would have used biscuit mix. Did scale down to 6 servings but will be making more. Thanks to this I will never have to buy biscuit mix again.

Grandma's Pear Preserves

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
Very good and set great! I changed a few things. Used 8 cups pears, 2 TBLS lemon juice, and no water only put 1/4 of spices called for. I put all this in pot first and cooked until pears were soft. Only used 4 1/2 cups white sugar and 1/2 cup brown mixed together and all put in at same time. Make sure you have a full rolling boil before timing 1 min.have made two runs so far and have 22 half pint jars.
