About this Cook
I have been happily married for 28 years! We have one wonderful daughter and a great son-in-law. I am a pre-school teacher for kids with special needs. I love my job! I also love cooking, reading, and Bravo t.v shows (Top Chef, Project Runway...etc.)
My favorite things to cook
Home made sauces, soups, chilis, salad dressings, and salsas. I also love to grill, and make anything Italian. Recently perfected pan seared scallops, and love to make panko crusted mahi mahi with piccata sauce.
My cooking tragedies
There have too many too count through the years, but the most memorable is when I was a newly wed. I wanted to make fried chicken for my new husband. I was using seasoned salt in my flour mixture, and for some weird reason, thought that the mixture should look "golden brown" before frying!!! Needless to say, I added so much salt that it was terrible! But my husband was sweet about it, and we laugh about it to this day!

Marinated Turkey Breast
I have made this many times with a couple tweaks....I leave out cloves, and add some red pepper flakes. I also have grilled it briefly for color on both sides, then put in crock pot with some beef broth. I have used this method for pot lucks and cooking for a crowd. Wonderful tender juicy results. Thanks for sharing this one!!
