Singing in the kitchen

I did it. I finally plugged my iPhone speakers in the kitchen-AND I became a supporting member of Allrecipes. I knew I was missing something. The place I spend the most time, and I had no music. Plus I couldn't make menus or change recipes on the
site I use practically every day. I needed change.
I LOVE my kitchen. I am mom to 4 kids-ages 7-12, 2 dogs, 2 guinea pigs, and hub of 15 years. Cooking and baking is so therapeutic to me. I enjoy experimenting. I find peace in the spice racks. Whatever mood I am feeling leads me to what I bake that
day...Cinnamon for bright eyed days; maybe I'm feeling overwhelmed, so I use nutmeg. Basil seems to banish the blues. Curry and rosemary perk me up every time.
We live in middle America, in a town of about 8,000 and growing. Our community now houses a NASCAR track, and new Hollywood casino. We are movin' on up~ We're getting new retail and great restaurants almost daily.
Since we have 4 kids, we dont eat out much (kids love Sonic), wefind that it costs a fortune to eat out with 6 of us, plus most nights the kids have activities and we do a lot of running, so I rely on the trusty slow cooker or try semi-homemade. Some
days I am able to prepare great meals. I love those days. I am inspired by those days. I love to sing in the kitchen!
