Baked Apple Turnovers
I will try this recipe again BUT I think next time I won't cook the apples in advance, or will cook them less. They were a bit too mushy for my taste. I used Granny Smith. Other than the texture, the taste was great - I appreciate the fact that this is a recipe that uses Splenda instead of sugar. Really nice.

Strawberry Spinach Salad I
Terrific salad. I left out the poppy and sesame seeds because they get stuck in your teeth. I don't think you need them - this recipe is delicious and turned out perfectly. Next time I might throw a little bacon in there for some salt to contrast the sweet dressing. Perfect as-is though.

Oven Pot Roast
AMAZING!!!! I made this with vermouth - a lot of people who reviewed here had used wine. The vermouth made the flavor and aroma so rich, and there is no alcohol taste. Just yumminess. I doubled the gravy and added in chunks of carrots, potatoes, celery and onion about halfway through. The gravy MAKES. ITSELF. Nothing to add. My roast was a little dry but only because my guests arrived about an hour late. I thought I made more than enough but this 3.5 pound roast was devoured by 6 people. I will definitely make this again. Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe.
