Cheese Biscuits I

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2011
I worked at Red Lobster for years. Their cheddar bay biscuits are simply bisquick with cheddar cheese added to the batter. Then brushed with the melted butter, garlic and parsley mixture when removed from the over. That's it! These are great with the addition of parmesan cheese as well!

Low-Fat Blueberry Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2011
Very good base recipe! I subbed oats (ground) and flax for the bran since I did not have any. I also added a teaspoon of lemon to the milk, 1 mashed banana cause it was just sitting there staring at me, misread recipe and added 3/4 c brown sugar (think I will keep it that way) and finally I increased the vanilla to 1 teaspoon. Yummy!

Bean Soup With Kale

Reviewed: May 3, 2011
This had way too strong of an Italian Seasoning taste. Next time I would only use 1 teaspoon.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2011
Delicious! I did alter the recipe for personal taste. I used half oat flour and half all purpose flour. I melted the butter and stirred in sugar. I also added 1 teaspoon of vanilla when I added the eggs. Since I only had 2c. of banana I added an individual serving size of cinnamon applesauce. I divided the batter in half and added chopped walnuts (for me!) to one half and mini chocolate chips (for the kids!) to the other half. I made mini muffins (cook 10-11 min). Delicious!

Chinese Cabbage Salad I

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
I have been meaning top review this for a long time. It is a great summer salad! There are never any left overs! If I am taking it to a party I keep the dressing separate until I am ready to serve. I do cut back the sugar a bit.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
These rolls tasted great and were easy to make! I had to knock a star off as I think the cooking directions may need altered a bit. I wasn't able to get the center cooked enough without the top becoming too brown. Next time I think I will cook at a lower temperature for longer time as others have suggested.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: May 10, 2010
This is the best sauce in the WORLD! I have not opened a jar of spaghetti sauce since finding this recipe. Like other reviews the ONLY thing I eould change is cut down on the salt. I only add 1 tsp. I let the sauce simmer at least 2 hours-delicious!!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2006
I read a lot of the reviews and followed some of the advice. 3/4 c. beef broth & 1/4 c. red wine. Added mushrooms and minced garlic. Used about a 3 3/4 pound bottom roast. This was soooo good, fork tender! Even my picky daughter loved it! Will definately make it again soon!
