Oven Fried Chicken II

I followed the recipe other than the thighs I used legs, and I forgot to throw the paprika on top. My husband and kids loved this! I took others advice and used 2 pans instead of 1 so there was no overcrowding...def a good idea. I ran out of bread crumbs so used panko and that actually was a good thing. Made the legs extra crunchy. Definately a keeper!

Pecan Pie Bars I

These bars are incredible. I had to put them in another room so I would stop eating them. I used parchment paper as...you have to use this! Makes it soooo much easier! Also, it takes much longer to cook then 25 mins. I’m not sure if that was a typo in the recipe or not but I cooked mine for almost 60. I used a 9 x 13 and will definately use a larger pan next time! You won’t be disappointed.

Thumbprint Cookies I

Love this cookie. I didn't have walnuts so I substituted pecans which were a bit hard to roll the cookie in. I used raspberry jam which didn't melt as well as I wanted but I will definately put this cookie on my Christmas cookie list!

Butter Rich Spritz Butter Cookies

These cookies are absolutely delicious. I did cut the almond and vanilla extracts to 1/4 t each and added 2 additional T of butter like someone had suggested. I had some troubles with my press but I don't think it was from the dough. They turned out beautiful and my kids as well as all the adults love them! Definately a keeper.

Jewish Apple Cake I

This was awesome! I took it to a Christmas dinner party and it got rave reveiws. I did mix brown sugar and cinnamon rather than white sugar with the apples and let them soak while I was making the batter. I used Granny Smiths. I also made a caramel glaze to drizzle over it! I'll definately make this again!
