Chewy Cocoa Brownies

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2006
These are delicious, easy to make brownies!! I mixed 1/4 cup peanut butter, 2 Tbs. margarine, 1 cup powdered sugar, and just enough milk to make it creamy then dotted it on top and swirled with a knife. SSSSOooo good... just make sure to add the powdered sugar a little at a time so it won't be clumpy. mmmmmm....

Aggression ( Oatmeal ) Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2006
My 2 1/2-year-old and I just made these cookies and they were great! Easy and quick, they taste like the ones my grandmother kept in her cookie jar. Tip-for thicker, chewier cookies, don't flatten(but don't make em bigger than suggested). (update: made this again with 1 cup old fashioned oats and 1 cup quick oats = perfect texture!!! try it!)

Deep Dish Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2007
This is the 3rd brownie recipe I've tried from this sight. The first, not enough chocolate, the second too much sugar. This one is close to perfect! These brownies melt in your mouth. I did leave out an egg, just so they wouldn't be too "cakey." YUM

Baklava

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2007
This turned out waaaay better than any baklava I've had at a restaurant. I took all the tips into consideration and my dish was the prettiest (and tastiest) on the table at our church gathering. Scrumptious!

These cookies are wonderful! Easily adjust cookie texture by changing size and/or cooking time. My 3 year old and I love the filling, but my hubby devoured his plain!

YUMMY! I used half quick cook oats and half old-fashioned - gives the cookie a nice balance. Just delicious :)

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2007
This is a yummy recipe! I knew I didn't have enough banana, but I was CrAvInG banana muffins so I made these anyway! Cooked in mini muffin tins - moist, quick and cute. Great with peanut butter! Def. be making these again :0)

Barbie's Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2006
This was a really great recipe. The ingredient list is 5 stars. However, adjust the measurements to fit your taste. My tuna was a 6 oz. can so I didn't add as much mayo or relish. Also I didn't have curry or parsley on hand so I mixed chili powder, seasoned salt, a dash of italian seasoning (has garlic & parsley) and some cracked black pepper. Even my hubby liked it and he doesn't usually eat tuna/potato/macaroni salads.

Healthy Banana Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2007
I used dried cranberries, threw in some brown sugar and allspice. All I can say is yum! I didn't bake them quite 20 minutes so the middle is a little more cookie-like. A great snack and the boys love them!(They shaped up fine, not a hint of falling apart, and we just picked them up off the cookie sheet)

Banana Bread V

Reviewed: May 11, 2007
This is a very good banana bread recipe! It comes together really quickly and doesn't need to bake as long as you think. I made it in a silicone pan, baked a little less than 45 mins...you can smell when it's done!

Rugelach

Reviewed: May 21, 2006
I had cream cheese and sour cream, but no eggs so I found this recipe and decided to give it a try. Delicious! I chopped up a huge Hershey's Kiss for half the batch and used raisins in the other. I even made a few with only cinnamon/sugar and those turned out to be my favorite! Will definitely make again!

Cinnamon Graham Crunchy Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2007
Just for personal preference, I used milk chocolate chips and left out the nuts but otherwise went by the recipe. A twist on traditional oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and a great way to use up that last sleeve of graham crackers. Pretty presentation too :)

Sticky Buns

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2007
This really is a light sweet dough, just a little "biscuity" texture I'm guessing from the all-purp. flour. Took about 3 hours from start to finish cause I let it rise plenty. Very easy dough to work with; I just topped them with Pillsbury Whipped White icing. I also had enough dough left over to make a dozen "cinnamon knots" which only had to bake 10 minutes. Delicious! Next time I will probably double the filling!

Fry Bread I

Yum! I was craving something from the bread/biscuit family and quick! Found this recipe and used milk instead of water and my 3 year old rubbed butter on the outsides when they were done. Will absolutely make again!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

I changed the sugars like others suggested. A great recipe! Experiment with cookie sheets, oven temperature, and cooking time to get the perfect cookie. My newest sheet worked best at 325 for 9 minutes. YUM!

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2006
A delicious cookie! In my oven, 9 minutes at 350 degrees gave the perfect texture. If you roll them in sugar first, they come out with a lovely crinkled top and a slight crunch. For my hubby who likes crunchy cookies, I just baked them a minute or two longer. I'll definitely be making these again!

Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
I'm normally not a fan of p.b. cookies, but my husband loves them so I tried this recipe. I added a little extra crunchy p.b. and had to add some self-rising flour cause I ran out of all-purpose. Even with those changes, these are the prettiest, yummiest p.b. cookies I've ever made.

Pecan Pie Surprise Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2006
These bars were pretty yummy. Why were so many confused? Save out 2/3 CUP of cake mix; not 2/3 of the box. Soften the butter and you should get a ball of dough you can press into the pan with a spatula. I recommend baking the "crust" as long as you can and let it cool before pouring on the filling. Also, I'd use more than 1 cup of pecans. tasty!

Easy Southern Biscuits

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2006
These biscuits definitely were easy! True, they are more of a muffin texture but delicious with jam or honey. I covered the tops of a few with sugar before baking and drizzled them with honey as soon as they came out of the oven. YUM! Will definitely make these again.

Easy Biscuits

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2006
These were pretty good! I was gonna give them 3 stars because the dough was kinda runny and then they almost burned in the oven. But I think I'll try them again with less milk and shorter cooking time. Rubbed butter on top after they were done and then slathered em in homemade strawberry butter. Yum!
