Loosemeat Sandwiches III

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2006
So yummy! I used beef broth instead of water, and added a little worchestershire sauce and a tablespoon of mustard to the beef while it was cooking. Also sauteed the onions and mixed them in. Reminded me of White Castles!

Drop Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2006
This didn't work for me. I didn't like the texture of this cookie. It spread out very thinly, and almost burnt on the edges while cakey in the middle. I tried turning the oven down to 350, and then tried chilling the dough to reduce spreading. Neither worked. This is not for me.

Holland Butter Cookies

Just finished making these and I swear I ate half a dozen while I pulled them out of the oven! These are so wonderful - just the right balance of buttery and sweet. Will be making these often!

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2006
So good and very easy! I followed the recipe exactly, and it delivered a very moist, dense bread that is wonderful spread with a little cream cheese. Also had a nice, crunchy top. I came up with 5 mini-loaves, and finished one off for lunch as soon as it was out of the oven. I'll definitely make again - should be great with any number of fruits. Next I'll try apple.

Million Dollar Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2006
Wonderful! I used a basic 1-2-3-4 butter cake recipe and used this as the frosting. The frosting was good enough to eat it without the cake! Will definitely make again!

Brown Sugar Frosting

Reviewed: May 1, 2006
Tastes like powdered sugar. I was looking for a more caramel taste. Even the addition of vanilla didn't help. Possibly a good glaze if you are looking to purely add sweetness.

Raspberry Oatmeal Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2006
This was great and so easy! I used plum jam as it is tart and many other reviews spoke of the recipe being too sweet. Turned out wonderfully! Also, I used about 1 1/2 cups of jam - I like things fruity.
