Simple BBQ Ribs
I also added soy sauce to the boiling water. Very easy and very tasty. Living in Memphis, I've become a BBQ snob and this recipe does a nice job at home. Much cheaper than eating out! BBQ sauces are like wine - there are hundreds and it's all a matter of personal taste. Just pick what you like.

Mary's Roasted Red Pepper Dip
I don't mean to be a fuddy duddy, but I was really disappointed with this dip. The flavor is nice - like others, I also doubled the garlic and added more minced onion. I added a bit of cayenne for a little bite. What really needed modified was the mayo. One cup of mayonnaise is WAY too much; it essentially ruined it. That much mayo made it very, very oily. The presentation was awful. If I made this again, I would cut the mayo to 1/2 c. at the most. I would possibly even skip it all together and let the cream cheese give the moisture to the recipe. I would probably add more red pepper, too. The red pepper flavor seemed to get lost. This is probably a nice base recipe, but it definitely needs some kick added to it and the mayo cut in half - at least. And yes, more red pepper, too.

Marinade for Steak I
Excellent, excellent, excellent!! I took the advice of others and also grilled the onions. I wrapped them in foil with a handful of garlic cloves - delicious. I grilled the steaks, topped them with the onions and garlic, and topped that with some bleu cheese crumbles. This marinade is absolutely perfect and delicious. Oh, I marinaded for 24 hours. I also cut the soy sauce in half and used some Cattleman's BBQ sauce to replace the other half.
