Reuben Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2006
I bought this dip to a Bunko party and it was the biggest hit! Added extra 1,000 Island and didn't use all of the cheese. I also baked it as directed then transfered it in to my electric(very larg) fondue pot to keep warm all night.

Jewish Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2008
WOW this was great!!! I brought it in to my salon and it was gone in 15 min! I used a loaf pan and was glad I did since it fell apart just a little when I took it out of the pan. Also added some brown sugar to the filling. YUM YUM!!

Spiced Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2009
Very good and super easy to make. I cooked the squash a bit longer, used small red potatoes, added an apple, and doubled + all the spices plus added curry powder. I didn't add any cream or sour cream...it didn't need it so it seemed like unneeded fat. I also put everything through the blender together. Looking forward to making again.

Better Than Sex Cake II

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2007
I love this cake! I use the whole can of milk and also put the carmel sauce in the microwave for a few secs, it makes it easier to pour out. This is a great cake to bring to a party or for co-works....you can put the cool-whip on once you get this, as to not make a mess in the car.

Peach Crisp III

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2007
This was very good! I added some frozen blueberries I had, which was great. Next time I will cut the butter down, it seemed a bit much for me. Looking forward to making it in the fall with fresh picked apples.

French Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2007
This was good, very close to a recipe I lost. Doubled for a 2 layer cake and also added extra powder sugar, and no butter extract. This is a very rich frosting.

Korean BBQ Short Ribs (Gal-Bi)

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2008
This was very good. I use boneless short ribs. Eye balled the soy and oil. I also added hot pepper sauce and wasbi. I cooked in a crock pot and the last 15 min I added rice noodles. Would also try making with pork loin another time. If you don't have sesame oil you can use olive oil. Oh and I also add about 4 large portabella's I had chopped up.

Chinese Cold Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2010
This was a good recipie to use as a guide. I made several changes...used whole wheat pasta, low fat peanut butter, doubled everthing but the red pepper, plus a little more peanut butter and soy sauce. Also added some red wine vinager, would probably use rice wine next time. I also added fresh grated ginger, sesame seeds, and shredded carrots. Would have been very good with some crushed peanuts. Next time I am going to add some sesame oil to the sauce.

Roasted Garlic

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2008
The temp and time were off...I baked at 400 for 40min. I also used very little olive oil, I don't think it really needs it. Yummy!! My fav thing to spread on crusty bread.

Mediterranean Tilapia

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2009
Very good. I did make a few changes...I did 4 fillets and still used a little less than a tbsp of oil. Also seasoned the fish with salt and pepper before cooking. Finally I also baked the topping on top of the fish so it would flavor to the fish. I will make again.

Peach Upside Down Cake I

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2008
This is a good recipe, but I mainly used it as a jumping off point. I used fresh pears not peaches, added pecans to the brown sugar mix, and then dusted the pears with cinnimon. I doubled the cake so I could use a 9x13 and also added vanilla to it. The cake was still a little bland and I also had some issues turning the cake out.
