Cream Cheese, Garlic, and Chive Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2012
Tasted good, but the wrapping in bacon and securing with tooth picks just eluded me. The chicken didn't fold all the way over the cream cheese mixture, and it just squished out of the sides when I tried to secure with toothpicks. I ended up laying the bacon and the sauce over the chicken.

Chicken with Garlic, Basil, and Parsley

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2012
The tomato on top was pretty flavorless after being in the oven. The red pepper flakes gave it heat but this could use more salt and more flavor.

Cowboy Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2011
Tried this with half chili beans and half baked beans. Way to sweet. Had to add spices to take some of the sweet out. Next time I'll just use chili beans.

Best-Ever Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
It was good, but felt like it needed something. I'll try to add all the tomato soup next time.

Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2011
LOVE this! I blanched the asparagus for one minute(more than that and it started to get stringy), drenched in the cold water. I used roast beef instead of prosciutto due to cost and picky eaters. I liked them baked and then cold. Baking gave the roast beef a bit of a salty flavor kick that it needed. Having them cold the next day was a little heavier than straight from the oven, but still great.

Loaded Baked Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2011
Turn out very nicely. I only had one can of soup, so I did a can of soup with a can of milk and poured it over the top. I thought it would be dry, but it was nice and soft without being mushy. Also, after 30 min of cooking, I stirred it a bit, put on the onions, another cup of cheese and baked it until the rest of the food was done.

Men Love This Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2011
I made this and it was pretty good, my man liked it too. But, we agreed that there needs to be either blue cheese or bacon, not both. It's just too salty. Also, next time I won't cook the veggies in the bacon grease. I think the veg would be better if it had it's own flavor instead of bacon flavor.

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
These came out really well. I used a small cookie scoop to measure out the dough, and it made A LOT of cookies. They were delicious.

Parmesan Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
This was my first time doing breaded pork chops. I had some trouble with the keeping the breading on, but I think that was really more my inexperience. The breading that did stay on was great. The cooking time was right on. They tasted great.

Cheesy Ranch Potato Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
My friends loved this. I cooked the potatoes in the oven and then transferred them to my crock pot. I heated them up on low with bacon flavored ranch and added the cheese about 20min before it was time to eat.

Pita Chips

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
Loved this with some cucumber sauce. I used flat bread, although I'm not 100% sure the difference, the recipe picture looks like flat bread not pita bread. I didn't have any chervil, but this came out great and I'll definately do it again.

Greek Steffotto

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
I followed the suggestions and used about half the red wine vinegar, and since I didn't have cinnamon sticks I just used a ground. It still came out too sweet, yet bland. If I do this recipe again, I'll definately salt the meat while I'm browning it and leave out the cinnamon entirely. And, I won't bake it soo long. Some people like meat that falls apart in your mouth, I like a little bit of chew to it. I served this over a bed of rice. Maybe the sweetness could be countered with a salty flavored rice.

Easy Greek Yogurt Cucumber Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
It was really good as a chip dip. I think next time I'll put it in a food processor to make it smooth. I left out the green onion and lemon zest to save money and time, respectively.

It came out grainy and without flavor, even after I cut the recipe down to two cups of milk.

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
I baked the chicken in the casserole. It turned out really well. The mushroom garlic sauce will definately be used in other recipes. I had an issue with the spinach being over powering. Next time I'll either use half the amount, or try fresh/frozen instead of canned.

Microwave Risotto

This came out delicious. I didn't follow the timing directions for the butter and oil, but the rest of the cooking time at 100% power came out nicely.
