Beer Dip I

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2006
This dip was pretty good! I bought twisted pretzel sticks, which I preferred over normal pretzel twists. My boyfriend actually liked eating the dip with tortilla chips. His brother liked eating it with his finger! haha I probably won't make this dip again because it wasn't anything too spectacular.

Hot Mexican Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2006
This recipe is not all that it is cracked up to be! I was really excited to make it because most reviewers were crazy about it! I did add diced jalapenos and corn to add some flavor. My boyfriend and his friend thought it was ok but we all agreed that adding ground beef and/or black beans would have made it better! It was edible but I'm not going to make it again!

Spinach and Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2006
This dip was YUMMMMMMYYY! My boyfriend and I ate it for dinner! haha I did have to make a few adjustments though...I added 3 cloves of minced garlic, baked for 30 min. instead of 15 min. and after the dip was done I added chopped cherry tomatoes on the top. I served this with small toasted bread and it was delicious!!

Tres Leches (Milk Cake)

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
This cake was delicious. Because of the other reviews, I didn't put the whipping cream on top. I just used store bought cool whip and it was great! Will def make again!

Taco Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2008
This was very easy and very cheap! I put tortilla chips in the bottom of the bowl before putting in the stew and then I topped it with avocado and cheese. Very good! I used the hot taco seasoning as well and thought it was perfect!

Greek Salad Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2008
I made this for a small dinner party and everyone liked it but I didn't think it was that great. It was very salty. I cut pita bread into small triangular slices to serve with the dip. I might try this again but I will get reduced fat feta (less salt) and perhaps a fat free caesar dressing as well.

Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed: May 23, 2008
This was pretty good. I followed the recommendations and did 1/2 mayo and 1/2 light sour cream. The only problem was that I had to bake it for 1 hour instead of 30 minutes as directed. Besides that it was great! Served with warm french bread and a simple salad with olive oil and vinegar.

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: May 30, 2008
Very good! I followed the advice of others and sauteed half an onion and garlic before pouring in the cans. I also did one can of chicken broth and one can of cream of chicken. Added dashes of cumin, cayenne pepper and onion powder. So good but best of all SO easy!

Easy Hawaiian Chicken Packets

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
This was very easy and very good for a quick weeknight meal. My boyfriend gave it a 4 but I think for being how fast and easy it was, it def deserves a 5! I actually baked this in the oven at about 375 for 45 minutes. Served over brown rice. I also added mushrooms in the packets. Delicious!

Love this salad! Instead of using olive oil, I like to sprinkle balsamic vinegar over it!

Amy's Barbecue Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2008
This was a great summer salad! I only used one head of lettuce and this made four servings. I did use other reviewers suggestions of using 1/3 BBQ sauce and 2/3 ranch. I may cut back on the cilantro or not even add it next time. Thanks for the recipe!

Bacon Wrapped Dates Stuffed with Blue Cheese

These are wonderful! My boyfriend made these and put one almond inside the date with the cheese. We served them at a party and there weren't any left!

Blackberry and Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2008
I followed the recipe as is. The recipe for the crust was half the amount that I needed; it was only enough for the bottom crust. I gave this 4 stars because my boyfriend thought that there was too much cinnamon and not enough tartness. Overall though a good pie! Next time I would just use half the amount of cinnamon called for.

Pan-Fried Asparagus

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2008
Very good and easy! I used a pound of asparagus and only one tbsp of olive oil. I also love garlic so I used 3 cloves. This is a great way to eat asparagus and you can cook it to the firmness that you desire!

Grilled Sausage with Potatoes and Green Beans

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2008
Delicious! Sometimes you just want a recipe that is easy, quick to make, but still yummy...this is it. The only thing I did differently was that I didn't add water. I have made this both on the grill and in the oven at 450 for about 30 minutes. Thanks for the recipe!

Strawberry Pineapple Chicken Bites

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2008
I made the recipe as is except that I added one green bell pepper and did not add the juice from the pineapple (there was already a lot of liquid). I would recommended adding another can of pineapple without the juice. Served over brown rice. It was a good, fast and easy meal!
