Lemon Chicken Soup II

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2011
Delicious!! For the chicken, I used a rotisserie chicken and instead of rice, I used orzo. This was great, but it needs more seasoning like oregano, garlic powder and onion powder. I will be making this again!

Sesame Noodles

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2011
This was good and fast to make! I only had 12 oz of noodles so I had to reduce the sauce a little bit. I skipped the sugar, used 3 tbs of olive oil, 4 tbs rice vinegar, 4 tbs soy sauce, 1 1/2 tbs sesame oil, 1 tbsp hoisin sauce, 2 tsps of chili sauce and green onions. I also added half a frozen bag of chinese vegetables. Served with pot stickers.

Mama's Asian Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
Made this for dinner this week and it was great! I did not cover the sauce when it was simmering and therefore didn't need to use the cornstarch. I will def make this again when I'm craving chinese food!

Laura's Quick Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2011
I followed other reviewers' suggestions and replaced one can of tomato soup with a can of Rotel and then added 1 can of corn. I tripled the seasoning and thought this was more of a stew than a chili but it still had great flavors! Served with reduced sodium fritos.

Pork Tenderloin Diane

I doubled the sauce but besides that, I followed the recipe exactly as is! My boyfriend loved the sauce but I just thought it was ok. However, it was a great, weeknight meal!

Homemade Pizza Supreme

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
This was just ok. I used mushrooms instead of bell pepper and added chopped jalapenos. The sauce was a little bland even though I added oregano and basil. It needs something more.

Spicy Kielbasa Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
This was pretty good but better the next day! I used 2 small zucchini and 2 cans of northern beans. I also added more seasoning and served the soup over brown rice. I'm looking forward to eating the leftovers for lunch this week!

Delicious! I used organic kidney beans instead of chili beans and reduced sodium chicken broth in place of the beer. Served with avocado, cheese, sour cream and corn chips. So good on a cold day!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
This was my first time using a slow cooker and I loved it!! Per other reviewers, I made a few changes: seasoned the chicken (3 breasts), added 2 soup cans of low sodium chicken broth, added 3/4 bag of mixed frozen vegetables, added a splash of white wine and only used 1 can of biscuits (cut into 4). I had the leftovers for lunch and they were excellent!

Mediterranean Pizza

This was really good! I had to change the recipe to what I had on hand so I used chicken instead of deli meat, no olives and a whole carton of feta cheese instead of Monterey Jack cheese. Added a few splashes of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Delicious!
