Ultimate Double Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2006
Fantastic yummy cookie! I made these weeks ago for my husband's firefighter academy - and they are STILL talking about them! There wasn't one crumb left. Thanks for the recipe!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2006
Another hit at the fire academy! The recruits ate them all, and the only complaint my husband heard, was that he didn't bring enough! Next time, I'll make them a bit larger, though - I dropped them onto the cookie sheet with a rounded teaspoon - and they came out "bite sized." Next time I'll add a little extra dough!

Chocolate Chip Peppermint Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2006
Very good cookie. I baked them for 10 minutes, and they turned out great! Not too crunchy, at all! I also doubled the recipe to make enough for my husband's fire academy - no problems there, either!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2006
Doubled the recipe and sent them to my husband's fire academy - they happily ate them all! A bit too sweet for me, though (but I'm wierd, that way!). I cut back on the peanut butter cups - it seemed a bit much. Baked for 8 minutes - nice and soft! I used natural creamy peanut butter - which worried me at first, since it can be a pain to mix it well - but it worked great!

This was the easiest, most tasty quick recipe sor squash! Loved it! I wouldn't change a thing! It went great with baked pork chops! Thanks for the great recipe!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2006
Fantastic "comfort" food! My husband loved them - and they were so easy. I halved the recipe, and reduced baking time a bit - but the sauce helps keep the chops moist! Also - I sprayed the baking pan lighty with non-stick... helped with the clean up! :-)

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2006
Tough one to rate... for me, they were only so, so. I baked some of them for 15 minutes (as some people suggested) - but I felt they were too dry. 12 minutes seemed better to me - they looked undone at first, but cooled to a good consistancy. Some spread - some didn't... don't know why! The Fire Academy recruits LOVED them, though. They said these were the best cookies so far (I make different recipes every week for the class). So - there it is!

Barbequed Marinated Flank Steak

Reviewed: May 3, 2006
Very good marinade! Great flavor combinations - it was a hit! Thank you! Instead of piercing with a fork, I scored it with a knife - forming a diamond pattern on both sides. This prevents the steak from shrinking too much as it cooks! :-)

Grilled Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: May 9, 2006
Great flavors - and so easy! I was worried - because dinner plans changed, so the chicken ended up being marinated over 24 hrs (we ate it the next night), but the flavor was great! Everyone enjoyed it! Thank you!

What a wonderful taste! Perfect for summer. I will use this marinade again - for sure! I used boneless skinless chicken breasts - and it was a hit. Marinated overnight... yummy! Thank you!

Seminary Muffins

These were very good! I was so tired when I made them - I forgot to put in the oats (duh!), but they still turned out fine. I can't wait to make them with the oats next time! Very good!

The BEST relleno recipe I've ever had. Yes - it was time consuming... but it was simple! Amazing flavor! The freezer trick was perfect. The sauce was unbelievable. Love love love this!
