My Greatest Critics
About this Cook
I have been married for almost 29 years and I love to cook. I went to school for computers but my love to create a good meal and watch folks enjoy themselves is the reason I started my own Catering Business.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking a meal that includes all sorts of seafood. Like seafood gumbo. Loaded with fresh seafood and smoked sausage.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making Christmas Cookies, this is something my Mother and I did every year from the time I was old enough to stand on a chair and help her springle colored sugar on the cookies. she used to bake over 30 diffrent kinds of cookies.
My cooking triumphs
I catered a special engagment party for 13 couples at the same time. it was a great sucess.
My cooking tragedies
When I first started cooking I wanted to bake my new husband a cake for his birthday. The cake came out heavy as cornbread and the blue icing I put on the cake, I dyed it with food coloring came out navy blue.So here I am with a big old heavy cake with navy blue icing. Did we eat it? No He was very kind when said "Honey I don't mind if you throw this one away. Thank Goodness I'm a better cake baker now. All we eat now is homemade cake from scracth. I've come along way.
