Basic Biscuits

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2015
I have been trying for a long time to get good biscuits. I have found success with this recipe. They rose really high. I did have to add a little more milk then called for. Served them with sausage gravy. The wife was surprised that the biscuits came out so well. This will be my go to biscuit recipe from now on. Thanks lenihan5.

This is very good. I followed the recipe as stated. The dear wife had some for lunch and wanted some again for supper. It should be even better tomorrow after all of the flavors have had chance to meld. Thanks for the great recipe Chairman James.

WOW!!! This is great comfort food. I followed the recipe exactly. There is nothing else needed. I would not change anything. It really hits the spot on a cold damp evening. Thanks for the post. We will make this often. I can't wait to serve this to company.

Okra Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2006
A great change of pace. The flavors blend well. The wife and I really liked this recipe. I followed the directions exactly. It came out perfect. I diced the bacon before I fried it. That saved some time. The next time I will add some tomatoes and some garlic. Thanks posting this recipe.

Amaretto Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2006
Very delicious.Made this for company his evening and it was a huge success. The gravy was a little thin but still thick enough. Will adjust the liquids next time I make it. This went very well over pasta. Serve with a good wine and some garlic bread and you can have a great dinner. Thanks Rebecca

Garlic Shrimp Scampi

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2006
A wonderful recipe. I made this for my wife and mother-in-law. They loved it and so did I. I was very pleased with the results. I made enough for four, I should have made it for six. Nothing was left over. I took the advise of other raters and used 1/4 cup breadcrumbs, (Italian style), and added a total of six cloves of garlic, (We are garlic lovers). I will be making this recipe often. My wife told me so. Thanks Mary Lynn.

The Best Meatballs

Reviewed: May 7, 2006
This is a wonderful recipe. My family really liked this. I could not find any veal so I used Sweet Italian Sausage. I removed the skin and worked it into the ground beef.I was a bit concerned about the addition of that much liquid. I only used 3/4 cup of warter. The meatballs came out just fine. I will be using this recipe from now on.
