Fresh Organic Catsup

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2010
Wow! this recipe is great! I had a whole bunch of tomatoes from our garden that were going to go bad if I did not use them up fast. The only things I did different was I blended the whole tomatoes with the onion and garlic in my VitaMix, added another 1/4 cup of unsweetened apple juice and cut back on the lemon juice by half. Tastes like ketchup to me! I will be using this ketchup recipe from now on!

Fortune Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2011
I had tried another recipe before this one they did not turned out good at all. After the reading the reviews I decided to try this one and have to say with the suggestions of "Angie C. dated Dec. 19, 2009, they came out perfect! I did add just a tad of Almond Extract and I kept the sugar the same at the original recipe. I think the key to this recipe is adding the water (I just kept adding water till it was a slightly runny consistansy). You will not be dissapointed. :)

Granola Bars III

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2008
My son has Type 1 diabetes so I try to use Stevia in place of sugar for making his snacks. Well, it came out great! This is what I used: 2c. long cooking oats, 1c. freshly milled wheat flour, a little less than 2 Tbs. of Stevia powder, 1c.raisens, 1/2c. Wheat Germ, 1/2 tsp.sea salt, 1 tsp.cinnamon, 1/2c.pecans, 2/3c.Coconut Oil, 1/2c.Honey, 1 whole egg and 2tsp vanilla extract. He loves them and so do we! I will add some extras next time to try to give him a little variations. I did use a lot of suggestions from other reviewers and felt like I made a successful granola bar. I baked mine in a 9x13 stone (bar pan), they came out thin and more like a nature valley granola bar-crunchy but not TOO crunchy. I used parchement paper for a liner. Awesome recipe and I will be making this a lot for sure! Thanks for recipe and all of the suggestions!

Albondigas

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2007
One word....AWSOME! When I made this, my husband could not stop raving about it. First time I made it I did not put any celantro in it. But the second time I did and boy did that make a big difference! Once served we put avacodos in it as well and that just really added to the already yummy flavor. Now I am making it again tonight!

Coconut-Pineapple Paletas (Mexican Ice Pop)

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2012
Absolutely delish! I did not have a can of sweetened condensed milk so I made my own. The SCM came out a little runny so I wonder if the Paleta mixture was affected because of it. Final product (before freezing) was rather soupy, plus the coconut and pineapple wanted to rise to the top. I went ahead and gave 5 stars because it was easy to make and tasted absolutly divine! Truely reminded of Mexican Paletas. I might make again but I prefer not to use SCM from a can. So if I do, then I will just make my own again or try another recipe without SCM. Thanks for sharing this!

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2013
This is my go to applesauce recipe! I prefer to make it raw though. I keep all of the ingredients the same except that I put them all in a powerful blender, like a VitaMix or Blendtec blender. I also leave the skin on for added nutrition and ease. Tastes absolutely wonderful! When we want to add a flavor I just add a 1/2 cup of which ever fresh or frozen fruit that I have on hand. So far have tried, Blueberry, Cranberry, Peach, Mango, and Strawberry. All have been terrific!

Black Bean and Salsa Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2012
My family loves this soup! And I love it because it is so fast and easy! I did change some things though. Instead of broth I used water, I added 1 more teaspoon of cumin and added a large handful of cilantro and blended in blender. Also, instead of sour cream I used plain yogurt. Then sprinkled more cilantro on top of the yogurt. Love, Love, Love this recipe! Thanks for sharing it!

Sweet Zucchini Relish

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2010
Amazing! I did not have Zucchini but had tons of yellow cucumbers. Kept everything the same except that I used apple cider vinegar instead of white vinegar. I used to never like relish on my hot dogs but now I do! Can't wait to hear the comments at our upcoming birthday party!!! Thanks for sharing! :)
