Great stuffing recipe. I add rosemary and thyme.

Cranberry Sauce I

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2008
I have made this recipe twice for turkey dinners. I don't eat cranberry sauce but both times my company has asked to take the leftovers home. One of my guests even wanted it over vanilla ice cream.

Acorn Squash

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2008
I HATE squash but my husband likes it so I tried this recipe out on him. He loved it but the kids and I almost threw up from the texture. If you like squash then chances are you will like this recipe.

Scalloped Potatoes I

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2008
I've been using this recipe for almost two years already and each time it turns out great. I find it needs more cooking time. I've usually had to add extra milk and the last time I added rubbed tarragon to the layers.

Kielbasa with Honey Mustard

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2008
These don't last long. They need a bit more cooking time to get a nice crust on them.

Gravy Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2008
I dredged the chops in flour, salt & pepper before sauteing in butter, minced onions and garlic. I added garlic powder, pepper, beef oxo, Worcestershire sauce and some gravy thickener. They were incredibly moist and fell apart with a fork. Kids loved them and, even though I'm not fussy on mushrooms, I enjoyed them too.

Lemon Squares I

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2008
Lemon squares with walnuts? Not when I make them. :P Instead of going out and buying a lemon I use about 1/4 tsp of lemon extract. These are so easy and so sweet. They are a make again...and again...and again.

Holland Boterkoek

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2008
I've made this twice now, once back in February and then again today. It is an alright accompaniment to a cup of tea but not something I would make for company or serve on its own.

Caramel Shortbread Squares

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2008
These are really delicate, rich squares. They held together fine, I used the suggestion of others and poked fork holes in my crust before baking. My only criticism would be that the crust to caramel ratio is a little off. The shortbread crust almost other takes the soft caramel center. I would make these again though and just not use all the crust mix for this recipe, just use some of it for a few cookies instead.

Oatmeal Carmelitas

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2008
These are tasty but they didn't get rave reviews from the family. It might have been my fault though. I'm not too sure how 6 ounces of chocolate translates into cups so I guesstimated the quantity. Also, I ran out of ice cream topping and finished the amount with caramel dip (for apples). I'm not big on nuts so I didn't add any. I did add some vanilla to the crust mixture as others have suggested.

Creamy Potato Leek Soup II

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
Added salt & pepper to taste and topped with grated cheddar cheese. Still needed just a bit more to make it special.

Herb Rubbed Sirloin Tip Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
Great rub with a little kick. I made it up in the morning, rubbed my roast with it and sealed it in a zip lock bag until dinner time. I cooked my roast to be rare and it was fabulous! I will try this rub on a whole chicken next.

Maple Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
It was good but didn't stand out as the best recipe ever for apple crisp. That being said, I would probably make it again because it is super easy and people seemed to enjoy it.

Mocha Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
Great taste and texture. It was a little light on the mocha flavour but regardless they didn't stay around for long.

Easy Biscuit Mixture

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2008
Turned out very light and fluffy. Added milk just as needed and let my daughter cut out fun shapes in the rolled out dough. Next time I think I will add some garlic and grated cheese to the mixture for a special twist.

AMAZING!! Made it for company and was asked for the recipe after the first bite. I added extra vanilla but it was superb.

Chicken Puffs

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2008
These turned out good but lacked a lot of flavour. I did enjoy them but when I make them again I will try some changes. Made these again last night with a couple of additions: I added fresh baby spinach, garlic powder and salad herbs (ClubHouse has a nice blend). I served this to company and they took home leftovers! This is a make again...and again. :)

Hamburger Hash

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2008
With a few adjustments to meet family needs this recipe is a keeper. What I added: liquid beef stock, diced carrots and celery, basil, parsley, garlic powder, salt & pepper and Worcestershire sauce. I also used flour to thicken it so it had a nice, rich gravy. The kids ate it up.

Cauliflower Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2008
It was a little oily from too much butter. I would reduce the amount used next time. I thought it could stand to have more chili peppers added for more of a kick. I didn't have any cheddar on hand and had to use mozzarella, it was still good but next time I will use what is called for.

Baby Carrots with Dill Butter

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2008
The carrots turned into mush and the flavour wasn't strong enough for my liking. I might do a few revisions if I make them again.
