Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2011
Excellent! My husband, who normally doesn't like dumplings, said he really liked them. I made them on chicken stew.

Feta Cheese Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2011
Produced nice and creamy potatoes but needs a bit more of a kick in the flavour department.

Peach Kuchen

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2011
My husband found it dry. I didn't mind it but it is more something you would eat while sipping tea. Maybe it needed more peaches to give it the moisture it needed.

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2010
Made it for a BBQ and didn't seem to get great reviews. Probably would try a different recipe next time.

Got good reviews from all, but personally I didn't like them too much. Something was lacking.

It was interesting. I can say that I didn't hate it, but I can't say the same for my husband.

Volcano Pancake

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2010
Really good as a brunch dish without the cheese. Added vanilla to the batter. Served with syrup and whip cream. Update 2012: Added 2 1/2 tsp of white sugar to the batter plus the vanilla. The kids eat this up and everyone can eat at the same time. Love it!!

Mozzarella Wedges

Reviewed: May 29, 2010
What a great basic recipe. Threw together provolone, mozzarella and cheddar. I thought I had sprinkled on too much garlic powder but after trying them I will use even more next time (might just be my love of garlic).

Kellogg's® Chocolate Scotcheroos

Reviewed: May 25, 2010
Oh my, Oh my, Oh Scotcheroos! I made these and can not stop eating them. I used cocoa Krispies and added almost a TBSP of shortening to the chocolate & butterscotch chips to make it more spreadable. These are better then the stardard marshmallow Krispie squares.

Cream of Asparagus Soup I

Reviewed: May 21, 2010
After reading other reviews I adjusted the recipe as I did it. I sauteed the onion, celery and potato with 1 clove of chopped garlic. I used liquid chicken oxo and added as needed. I used black and white pepper but found that the soup didn't need any salt, it was quite salty on its own. It also didn't need the soy sauce, that would have put the saltiness over the top. Used my hand blender on it and it was terrific.

Rum or Bourbon Balls

Reviewed: May 21, 2010
I found them a little on the gritty side. Maybe the sugar should be melted with the chocolate? I enjoyed the ones with amaretto in them more then the rum.

Used milk instead of water and added lots of vanilla. Delish. Although hasn't made it into ice cream...yet! :)

Very simple to make. Dredged the chops in flour, garlic, salt and pepper. Added the left over flour mixture to the sauce. Cooked uncovered for 45 minutes. Served over rice.

Kale Krisps

Reviewed: May 12, 2010
My kids actually ate this and I didn't even care for it. I sprinkled them with salt & pepper and garlic powder before baking. I still can't believe my kids ate this (one is almost 6 and the other is 4!!)
