Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2013
Like other folks, I halfed the recipe and made it in an 9" cake pan. I used half chocolate chips and half M&M's and left out the nuts in mine. I baked it just 20 minutes and felt the edges got a little hard. Next time I will underbake it a tad. Too bad the kids weren't around this weekend or they would have loved it! Fun for birthdays, easy to frost and decorate.

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2012
Love the sweet & sour taste of this salad. I substitued craisins for the raisins. I doubled the recipe to take to Thanksgiving dinner which worked out well. A little wet for my liking so I may back off a little on the dressing next time. I got lots of compliments!

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2012
Super fast soup! I added a can of cream of chicken to the soup to thicken it up. I also sprinkled some cumin and chili powder on top. I garnished with sour cream, shredded cheese, and Tostitos. It took longer to open all the can than it did to cook this!

Mushroom Chicken Piccata

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2012
Wow!! This tastes better than some dishes I've had at Italian restaurants! I used chicken tenderloins so they did cook up faster. I didn't use an egg, just dredged them in the flour/paprika/salt mixture. I will definitely make this again and again! Thank you!

Mom's Baked Egg Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2012
I missed the part where I was supposed to grease the muffin pan--big mistake. I got them to come out of the pan but part of the bread stuck to the bottom. I also beat the eggs (I only used 3 eggs) and I used bacon bits instead of cooking bacon. I thought they were delicious and will make again.

Real Hummus

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2012
My version turned out awesome. I used 2 T. garlic, 3 T. tahini, and 1/2 t. salt. I won't need to buy hummus at the store anymore!

Mushrooms and Peas Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2012
This turned out way too soupy for me. Blah flavor even when I tried to add things to kick it up a notch like minced onion and garlic powder. I will not make again.

Absolutely Best Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2011
I just made these tonight and they were delicious. I added some chocolate chips. I also underbaked them by 5 minutes and they were just right. Whipped them up in like 10 minutes. Gotta try 'em!

Spinach Lasagna II

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2011
I made some changes to make it easier on myself. I used a large jar of spaghetti sauce instead of "making" it using the first 4 ingredients. I also used the nobake lasagna noodles to save time. It turned out great, even for my meat lovers in the family!!

Very good flavor. I made them tonight for a 4th of July BBQ. Everyone liked them! Reminds me of bread & butter store pickles.

Tea Time Tasties

This was a quick and easy recipe using items I always have on the shelf. I used pecans in mine since I love pecan pie. I had some pecan bits I put into the mix and put I pecan half on top. They turned out great!

Easy Whipped Cream

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2011
This turned out great. I made this to go on top of a chocolate creme pie--they were a great combo. I cut back on the sour cream and added more cream like several other reviewers and was happy with the results.

Chocolate Cream Pie II

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2011
I made this for Easter Sunday dinner. The flavor was good but it did not set up totally. When I cut it, it was kind of runny. I attempted to add more corn starch after i read some of the reviews, when I was stirring over the heat, but then I ended up with corn starch lumps. The flavor of the pie was fabulous. I made whipped cream for the top with another recipe I got off here.

Black Bean and Couscous Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2011
I thought the salad turned out well, but a little dry. Next time I will double the dressing as the couscous seemed to soak it all up.

Broccoli Soup

This is a nice low-fat soup but didn't have a ton of flavor. I added some half and half to mine to make it more creamy which helped.
