About this Cook
I'm 27, and love to cook. I work from home and love to do crafts and try out new recipes.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake. Bread, cookies, cakes, I love to make them all. I also like doing new things to old recipes to see if I can make them better or just make them specifically mine.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite family cooking traditions aren't really of cooking but of canning and preserving. My mom, great-grandmother, and I used to sit for hours in the kitchen putting up veggies and just talking and having a great time.
My cooking triumphs
Most of the things I cook come out right, but the night I made glazed pork chops was most definately a triumph. My husband loves them and requests them quite often!!
My cooking tragedies
My neighbor and I have discovered that we can't cook together. We start talking and don't pay attention to what we're doing like we should so, we've managed to make chili without flavor and really, really flat banana nut bread. We've quit cooking together as much since then!!!

Southwest White Chicken Chili
Wonderful!! I usually end up using Great Northern beans instead of Cannellini beans because it's what I have on hand. Other than that I don't make any changes.

Egg in a Boat
Love these!! My younger brother and sister love it when I fix these for them when they come visit. Easy, simple, and filling...just the way breakfast should be!!!

Hudson's Baked Tilapia with Dill Sauce
This was great!!! I added a little mesquite seasoning with the cajun seasoning, but other than that I didn't change a thing!!! Beautiful. I will definately be making this again.
