Loved this! Used a chuck roast instead and skipped the bay leaf (I don't have any).

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2011
I had all the ingredients on hand. Quick to throw together and flavorful! Like others, I shredded the chicken a few hours in.

Easy Slow Cooker Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2011
Decided to make this despite seeing questionable reviews. Pork is juicy but had no flavor-maybe marinating it next time would help. I would make something based on this in the future, but change it drastically.

Barbecued Round Steak

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2010
Only subs I did were I didn't have ground mustard, so I used yellow prepared. I also didn't have tomato juice, so I did watered down tomato paste. The sauce is FANTASTIC and it tenderized my round steak unbelievably well. Will TOTALLY make this again!

Quick Pasta Carbonara

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2010
A good base recipe. Like others I doubled this, but still found it bland even after adding fresh garlic, seasoned salt and pepper. A little more seasoning on the finished dish and it's good but not great.

Oatmeal Craisin Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2010
Totally awesome! I was able to use a lot of odds and ends from my pantry to make these. The only thing I tweaked was I put white chocolate chips in to use up a bag I had. Delicious!

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Like others I skipped the pan-frying and instead baked these at 350 for about 40 minutes. They were AWESOME!

A Different Carrot Raisin Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2008
I've been craving carrots lately, so I used my Pampered Chef chopper and chopped up some baby carrots I had on hand, added raisins and sunflower nuts (1/2 cup) and then used your dressing recipe. Delicious! Can't wait to try again with coconut; I normally have it in my pantry but no luck today :(

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2008
A great basic recipe! I doubled it and used 3/4 cup ketchup and 3/4 cup Sweet Baby Ray's Honey Chipotle barbecue sauce and it was delicious! Just the right amount of sauce--not too sloppy. Will definitely use again.

Broccoli-Chicken Cups

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
I didn't have muffin cups so had to make do and put these in mini loaf pans. Still very tasty! I would add cheese into the mixture next time. Also not sure what the rice krispies gave to it.

Moist Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
I had never microwaved chicken before. I hate cooking chicken because I can never get it "right". I needed cooked chicken for a recipe and this was quick, easy, and just what I needed. I used chicken broth and margarine and seasoned it with garlic powder and lemon pepper. Turned out great!

I added chicken and didn't use any broccoli, but this sauce had a good flavor. Would make again in a pinch!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2007
So far I've added 1 can of sliced carrots, 2 cans of cream of celery, 2 cans of water, 3 cloves of garlic, 1/2 tsp of pepper, 1 tsp of oregano, 1 chopped onion, 4 frozen chicken breasts. In the end it was a very tasty recipe, but it definitely needs additions!

Baked Vegetables I

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2007
I needed a side dish inspiration and this did the trick. I prepared it with unpeeled red potatoes, onion wedges, baby carrots and broccoli (it's what I had on hand). I tossed the veggies in the oil and then sprinkled it with the onion powder. It was a different way of seasoning and it was good! I only regret not covering with foil to bake--it took a long time for the veggies to get tender.

Garlic Mashed Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2007
I liked this recipe as a jumping point. I wanted to make garlic mashed potatoes but I wasn't sure about the best way to add the garlic. Boiling the garlic with the potatoes was a really great idea. However, I used 7 cloves of garlic instead of 3 and I think it could still use more.
