Golden Potato Rounds

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
These were very good. I too used rice krispies and they turned out just fine. I sliced the potatoes a little bit thinner and they got done sooner. I will use the corn flakes next time. I put more salt on them before I put them in the oven.

Dark Rye Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
I made this Christmas morning because I was having ham for dinner. I let the bread maker knead it. Then I put it in the oven at 375 degrees for around 40 minutes. I used an egg wash on the top before baking. It was beautiful and tastes wonderful. The only thing that I changed was subbing 1 T. of honey for 1 T. of the molasses. I don't care for molasses. When I starting cutting it my brother ate a few slices right then before dinner. We all love it and I know that I'll be making it many times in the future. I'm even eating it with my breakfast. It couldn't be better. It's not too dense and it raised just fine. Thanks for posting it.

Hot Fudge Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2008
It tastes great and was so easy to make. It's only 4 ingredients and you don't have that sugar mess to worry about graininess in the pot.I'll be making this again and again.

Simply The Best Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2006
I had not read the four reviews before I made this cake. But,I was in a hurry and when I started puting it together I thought that it might need oil and an egg. So I added those. And the instant pudding did not have to be cooked,so I just put it in with the cake mix. Then I baked it in a 12 inch cake pan and added pecans, brown sugar, and cinnamon on top that I had from another cake. After baking I put home made vanilla iceing on top. My husband said it just might be the best chocolate cake that he has eaten.I'm glad I experimented. It probably wouldn't have turned out as well without the oil and egg.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2006
This has a lot of ingredients, but is so worth it. Personally I think it works out for the best if you make the meat sauce a day in advance. Less mess while getting ready for the oven. I did use less salt than called for;and used half of the total meat as Italian sausage, and half of ground chuck. My pan was too small so I also had to use a loaf pan. It freezes well,so we ate part of it and will finish it when the urge for an Italian dish strikes again. This is so good that I will make it many times I am sure.

Sock It to Me Cake IV

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2006
This cake is sooo good. I made it just as the recipe said, except I put two layers of the cinnamon mixture. It's moist, tasty, rich, and satisfying. It doesn't even need the iceing. But, I made some because my husband needed it.I have made this one many times in the past few months. One hint for a great cake is don't use an off brand cake mix. It makes a big difference.

Amy's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2006
This is the perfect choc. chip cookie recipe that I've been looking for. I've been using the same old recipe for years. You all know the one. The little hockey pucks that break into crumbs at one bite. These are moist and chocolaty. I made it with the chocolate pudding and the only change was the dash of salt I added. We are happy.
