Made this cake and took it to work the next day. The flavor the next day was even better than the first day. I was told by friends that it tasted like vanilla ice cream.

Coconut Cream Pound Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2009
This cake is die for. I used a bundt pan, cause I didn't have a tube pan and it turned out great. I did cook it 10 minutes longer, but it was probably done 10 minutes earlier. When making a pound cake you want to let your cold ingredients come to room temp first. So, I sit my eggs, butter and cream cheese out to get to room temp. I also sifted the flour and baking soda together, befor adding them to the batter. Thanks for a wonderful recipe.

Cream Cheese Squares

This recipe is so easy. My oldest son is very picky about what he eats, once he tried a piece he asked for more. Tasted like a cinnamon roll, great for breakfast.

These are best oatmeal cookies ever. Mine weren't flat and hardly spread at all. They are big and chewy. Great with chocolate chips or raisins.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2008
Wow! These brownies are excellent. I cooked these brownies in an 8 inch glass baker, because that was all I had. Another review said to decrease the temp. to 325 F. and cook for 32 min. and mine came out great. I don't know why some of the reviews said this was cake like, mine was no where near. Thanks for a great recipe.

Strawberry Pie II

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2008
Not sure what I did wrong, but my pie was very runny. I stirred the strawberry cornstarch mix for 25 minutes and it only thickened a little. Next time I will add more cornstarch. Even though my pie didn't set, my kids picked at the runny strawberry mix. My 4 year old boy said, "Wow, mom this is the greatest pie I ever tasted!" So, I will try to make it again.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
When ever I decide to make a recipe from this website I always read reviews first. Reviews add helpful tips. So, the night before I made this cheesecake I read alot of the reviews. I got up in the morning and pulled everything I needed out of the fridge so that it would all be at room temp. I went about my morning cleaning and then came back to make the cheesecake. Excited by all of the reviews I really wanted to like this cheesecake. These are the problems I had 1.) Not enough butter for the graham crackers, had to add alot more. 2.)Way to much batter. I had to reread the recipe to make sure it called for a 9in. pan and not a 10in. pan. I filled mine to the top and still had about a 1/4 or more of the batter left in my mixing bowl. 3.) Started cooking wonderfully, then about 40 minutes into cooking it rised about 2in. over the pan and began to crack everywhere. Then the sides all fell off onto the bottom of my oven. Maybe this is my fault for not using a water bath? After cooking 1 hour I turned the oven off and left it in the oven for 2 hours. There is something about leaving a milk based product in the oven for 5-6 hours that doesn't sit right with me. I then placed it in the fridge for 3 hours. After dinner my cheesecake loving husband couldn't wait to try this cheesecake. The whole thing was mushy, it did not have the texture of a cheesecake. It was no where near done, but yet very brown all over. After trashing this cheesecake I came to the conclusion that this is more

Old Fashioned Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
Wow! I was a bit afraid of the amount of water for the syrup you pour over the dumplings. When I took mine out of the oven I quickly placed it in the refrigerater, 20 minutes later I went to get a dumpling. The syrup wasn't runny at all. This is the best Apple Dumpling recipe I have tried. I like sweeter apples more than I do tart apples, so I used Ida Red apples in mine, it was done in 55 min.

Michelle's Peanut Butter Marbled Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2007
After 40 minutes I went to take my brownies out of the oven, they didn't look no where near done. So, I cooked them 15-20 minutes longer. Still looked undercooked to me. But I could tell that they were starting to get over cooked on the edges. So, I sat the brownies on my counter top for two hours. I went back to it and tried a piece, still seemed doughy like to me and undercooked. Confused I placed it in the fridge. The next afternoon I pulled them out of the fridge and WOW! I had over cooked them, because the edges where hard. These are so much better the next day. I suggest that everyone place these in the fridge over night before eating them. Next time I won't cook them so long. Thanks for the great recipe.
