About this Cook
My husband is a very picky eater, so I never really get to cook the things that I like. I'm Italian and love to make my own spaghetti sauce and meatballs, but it's a lot to cook for just one person! I like experimenting with recipes, but my husband's appetite never strays far from his normal "meat and potatoes". It's a blessing when I go to family gatherings and get to cook the stuff I really like!
My favorite things to cook
Cookies and cakes. Also anything Italian or Mexican.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Getting together with the family in Texas for every holiday. We're a big group, and we all bring something to eat. Needless to say, we always have leftovers!
My cooking triumphs
I finally mastered "The Cheesecake"! Finally, a no-fail recipe that works perfectly. No more "goooey in the middle" cheesecakes for me!
My cooking tragedies
See "my cooking triumphs". HA! Countless cheesecakes that never quite turned out before finally getting it right. Too many failed attempts to count!
Recipe Reviews 1 review
Baked Beans, Texas Ranger
These were excellent and a HUGE hit! I substituted the spicy pork links with a pound of thick cut peppered bacon and cooked in a slow cooker on low for 4 hours. This was almost a meal in itself! Will definitely make again.
