Barbecue Beef Cups

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2006
I've made these 3 times now. My sister, my 2 kids and my nephews LOVE them. The kids are picky about onions so I use onion powder in the meat and they come out fine. I was thinking I might try a variation with spaghetti sauce and motzarella on top. One of the times I made them I had accidently grabbed butter flavored biscuits... not a good idea.

Mexican Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2006
Yum Yum Yummmmmmmmy. This was easy to make and delicious. I did lightly coat the pan to keep things from sticking. I put refried beans on top of the first layer of tortillas. In the meat, I added onions and some garlic powder. I used more like 2 cups of cheese but I also added more layers. My layers went like this: Tortilla, refried beans, beef mixture, cheese, tortilla, beef mixture, cheese, tortilla, salsa and a lil more cheese. My mom and grandma tried it at lunch today and loved it as well. I served it with sour cream. The only thing I would do different next time is use 1 1/2 lb of hamburger. I think with the extra layer I needed a bit more.

Hoagie Bake

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2006
Pretty good. I took the advice and microwaved the meat to get grease off. I used spaghettie sauce as well. My sister and daughter loved it the night I made it. I liked it better as leftovers. All in all a good meal but not something I'd make all the time.

Momma Lamb's Famous Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2006
This wasn't horrible but it wasn't as good as I'd hoped. The oranges got all runny and it was pretty soupy. It was also too sweet. One helping was all I wanted of it.

Bierock Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2006
I loved this recipe!!!! My sister and I both agreed it tastes pretty close to the real bierocks mom used to make when we were kids. I did follow the other users comments. I prebaked the bottom crust, added seasoning to the meat (pepper and Mrs Dash's garlic blend), and I put the cheese under the dough. It came out perfect. I am self proclaimed non-cook who has just decided to learn to cook and it was so easy for me!
