About this Cook
I never thought I'd be that girl who'd be cooking away in the kitchen, as a kid. But I've discovered that I absolutely LOVE cooking and trying out new foods and recipes. Cooking to me is incredibly therapeutic. My ideal night is being alone in the kitchen with my favorite music and making great food. I love when guests compliment the taste! My boyfriend is a great guinea pig with my dishes. I cook, he cleans up... who could ask for more? :o)
My favorite things to cook
Breakfast (omlettes, baked french toast, pancakes), gourmet dinners, seafood, asian dishes, mexican dishes
My favorite family cooking traditions
New Mexico style enchiladas using red chili and fresh green hatch chili.
My cooking triumphs
The first time I made Thanksgiving dinner for our family of 12. Everything turned out great! I still can't believe how well it turned out. Everyone was impressed by the varieties and taste! After that accomplishment, I knew I could pull off any dinner party!
My cooking tragedies
I've had several cooking tragedies. One which sticks in my mind. I overcooked a beef stirfry with snow peas. My guest was so gracious about it, but it was the toughest meat I ever had! :)

Macadamia-Crusted Sea Bass with Mango Cream Sauce
This is absolutely a tasty dish! I forgot to pick up macadamia nuts, so I used almonds as a replacement. It was great, although I'd still like to try the macadamia's next time I make this. The mango cream sauce was the perfect addition!
