Lit'l Smokies® With Bacon

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
This recipe is awesome! I recommend cutting the piece of bacon in to 3 pieces instead of 4. Also, I wait to add the brown sugar until about halfway through the cooking time. I would also say that the Prep Time is not 15 minutes. It's probably double that.

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
So easy and so yummy! Not just good for parties, but these will make incredible gifts for anyone. The only thing I did that wasn't in the recipe was I chilled the cookies before I crushed them and then i chilled the cookie/cream cheese balls before I dipped them in the chocolate. It made the whole process much easier to work with and less messy. My truffle balls did not fall apart.

This was OUTSTANDING! I wouldn't change a thing. This will be a staple at every adult party we have from now on!! There was not one person at my New Year's Eve party that did not have at least 3 glasses of this. Everyone LOVED it! Happy New Year 2011

Mashed Potato Layer Bake

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2010
First of all, mine did not fit in a 2 quart baking dish. I think I could have gotten away with using a 13x9 inch dish. Also, I used a whole cup of sour cream and added 4 ounces of regular cream cheese to the white potatoes. I used a half a cup of sour cream in the sweet potatoes. Also I used a half cup of Parmesan cheese in the white potatoes and a half cup of Sharp Cheddar in the sweet potatoes. With those changes, this dish is AWESOME!!! So so good and I am not a fan of sweet potatoes.

Cucumber Sandwiches

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2008
This wasn't what I was expecting, but being 7 months pregnant might mean my tastes are a bit off. But I've been craving anything cucumber and this definitely hit the spot! Plus it took less than 5 minutes to put together. Doesn't get any easier.

Sour Cream Chocolate Frosting

This frosting doesn't last long...a few days on the cake out of the fridge MAX but it is absolutely worth making. This is the BEST frosting I have ever made. Better than store bought!!!!!

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2007
I served this frosting with a vanilla cake and a strawberry blueberry mixture. Everyone commented that it was hands down the best frosting they have ever had!! I couldn't agree more!! Spreads nicely after being left in the fridge for an hour or so. I left mine in over night. If you aren't going to use or eat the frosting right away, I suggest leaving it in the fridge as well.
