Apple Oatmeal Crisp

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2008
Since there were a few ppl saying this was a dry recipe, when I made it I used a little less flour and a little less oatmeal. YOU DEFINATELY DO NOT need 1/2 cup sugar! I didn't even use 1/2 cup and it was a little too sweet, but when I had the topping on I dotted it with a T of butter and baked as directed. This was juicy, bubbly, and SO DELICIOUS! I will DEFINITELY be using this as my Apple Oatmeal Crisp recipe from now on!

Wedding Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2006
This was a nice cake. I have been testing lots of different white cakes to decide what I'd like to use for my wedding cakes. This is one of the finalists! It has a nice sweet flavor that's not overly sweet. My only complaint was that I had a crusty top. After the cake was leveled it didn't matter, but that was just a small annoyance. Oh and I did add an additional 1/4 tsp almond extract which tasted great!

Jif® Peanut Butter Banana Bread

Reviewed: May 6, 2010
I changed this a bit, which is why its only 4 stars, but my alterations were PERFECT! I used 2 cups flour. 1/3 c white sugar, 1/3 c brown sugar, 1/3 cup applesauce. 1 1/4 cup banana. And 1/4 c butter instead of oil. Loved this! I made 2 mini loaves w/ chocolate chips and 2 without, and it was just SO YUMMY! So pleased it turned out good, because I needed an amazing fix of something peanut buttery & banana, and chocolate. This did it!

Garlic Butter Sauce I

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2006
I used this sauce as a base for my pasta, only I added milk and cornstarch to make it thicker. I thought it was really good in flavor but I had to add quite a bit of salt. It was still good, and I will continue to use it when i don't want to have a marinara or tomatoe sauce pasta. I even liked it better than store bought alfredo! It was good.

Rolled Buttercream Fondant

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2006
Ok I have mixed reviews here. Because, 1st-This is the 2nd time I have made buttercream fondant, hoping that it would turn out this time, and I STILL had the same problem. It was NOT SMOOTH. I could not keep it from being crumbly. I doubled checked my measurements, and I did EVERYTHING right. Both times. I will agree I LOVE THE FLAVOR of Buttercream Fondant, especially when draping over buttercream frosting, but when its not smooth and pretty, its not worth it. So that's why I rate this 2 stars. Good flavor, but HORRIBLE consistency. Its just not smooth.

Huckleberry Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2006
These were really yummy. They were really light and fluffy which was good but made it hard for them to come out of the paper while they were still warm. Once they cooled off, the paper came off easier.

Children's Gingerbread House

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2007
This turned out so good and so fun for my kids. I made 2 batches for our 3 houses. The first batch I made exactly as written and it turned out perfect! The 2nd batch, I left out the baking powder and of course, it gave me a flatter cookie, but this way I did NOT have to trim the cookie after it came out of the oven, it was a little flatter and more crisp and I actually liked it a little better. Both were great, and my girls and I had a blast decorating them!

Lemon Pound Cake I

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2007
This cake was PERFECT. I used it in a Lemon Berry Trifle and everyone just raved over it. The only thing, is that I used the juice of one lemon, not just half.

Banana Peanut Butter Bread

Reviewed: May 7, 2008
This was super super yummy! I made mini loaves and they were super moist! Cook time was reduced and that was another bonus. I didn't have to wait long! I thought the peanut butter and banana was the perfect compliment to eachother.

OMG These were SO GOOD!! I changed it as others suggested. 1/4 tsp salt (to crust) 6 T instead of 4 T (to filling) 2/3 C. Lemon juice (instead, to filling) 1 T lemon zest These were perfect! The crust was perfect for the 9 X 13, the lemon flavor was perfect, everything was PERFECT!

Ladyfingers

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2006
I have to admit that I thought the recipe was a little easier. It was difficult by any means...but its not just a 'mix the ingredients and bake' recipe. However the hard work and patience totally paid off! I am so happy to have ladyfingers for tiramisu now, and I can't wait to make my tiramisu tomorrow!! These definately turned out yummy, PERFECTLY BEAUTIFUL FOR ME (I think the trick is to fold it gently and keep it cool), and I am so happy that I found this recipe!!

These were good and easy! Just the way I like em. We topped them with the clotted cream recipe(that was much sweeter than it is supposed to be) and it was delish.

Classic Tiramisu

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2006
I loved it! I wish I would have soaked the ladyfingers in the espresso (I used instead of coffee liquer) because I think brushing it on just wasn't enough coffee flavor, but other then that, it was delish!
