About this Cook
I am a SAHM and I also work in a Hair Salon 3 days a week. I have 3 little girls and I have been married for almost 7 years!
My favorite things to cook
I absolutely LOVE to bake. I am trying to find that 'perfect' wedding cake recipe that I can use when I decide to start making my cakes. I started decorating, mostly, for my kids' birthdays and it grew into a bigger love. Now that I have mastered decorating with fondant, I am working on building a small business decorating wedding cakes. I love doing something artistic, which is why I love doing hair, as well. And doing both things brings people joy! I love to make people look beautiful and I love to feed them good food. I also really enjoy cooking gourmet foods that my husband helps me with as well. We love to grill and try new things! And I also love to do little finger foods that my children love.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is big on cooking roast beef. Ever since I was a little girl, every Sunday we would have Roast Beef and potatoes for dinner. I still carry on this tradition, but we try a new recipe for Roast beef instead of the same ol' onion soup mix recipe.
My cooking triumphs
My cooking triumph will be my sisters wedding cake in 1 week! I am not baking the cake as I do not have the kitchen/pans/perfect recipes (still), but I will be decorating, and that's REALLY triumphant to me!
My cooking tragedies
LOL. Burning sugar/toasted almonds almost EVERY TIME~

Jif(R) Peanut Butter Banana Bread
I changed this a bit, which is why its only 4 stars, but my alterations were PERFECT! I used 2 cups flour. 1/3 c white sugar, 1/3 c brown sugar, 1/3 cup applesauce. 1 1/4 cup banana. And 1/4 c butter instead of oil. Loved this! I made 2 mini loaves w/ chocolate chips and 2 without, and it was just SO YUMMY! So pleased it turned out good, because I needed an amazing fix of something peanut buttery & banana, and chocolate. This did it!

Banana Peanut Butter Bread
This was super super yummy! I made mini loaves and they were super moist! Cook time was reduced and that was another bonus. I didn't have to wait long! I thought the peanut butter and banana was the perfect compliment to eachother.
