Japanese Onion Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2014
seriously? this is not what you get in Japanese restaurants. a lot of the time you get miso soup. this is NOT it at all. i have had another kind of soup or two, but again...NOT this. and yes, i lived in Japan...didn't just eat at a Japanese steakhouse a few times.

Milly's Tuna on a Shoestring

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2014
i finally was able to share this recipe with my number one guy. he admits he was hesitant at first, but after trying it, it disappeared...fast. the next day he made sure we had the ingredients again and he made it. i add some garlic salt and pepper. it is a great budget meal...one that was absolutely fabulous when i was a kid and still is.

Bob's Teriyaki Sauce and Marinade

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2013
Robster...and anyone that wants a less salty teriyaki sauce...there is a lower sodium soy sauce put out out by Kikkoman that helps. Unfortunately you may still find it high because of the nature of the beast (soy sauce) so to speak. Kikkoman is my favorite brand I admit (it's what I grew up on) and I really like the lower sodium version as it retains the original flavor. I can't speak for any other brand. You can certainly try and find others that are lower. Good luck and hope this helps...with Kikkoman it has a green bottle cap.

Chicken Riggies II

Absolutely my favourite chicken riggies recipe on here. I don't use the olives due to my honey's taste preference. But oh this one makes me smile. Thank you a million times over!!!

Four-Cheese Macaroni

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2008
I've made this recipe twice now and it's come out very nicely. The only change I make is I don't boil the flour and butter roux two minutes...or even one. I do boil once the milk is added. Good eating! Thank you so much!

Herbed Lentils and Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2007
This wasn't too bad. I let it bake a bit too long and so it was dry, but the flavour was very pleasant...I enjoyed smelling it as it was baking. I paired it with the Chicken Breasts in Lime Sauce here and rather enjoyed the coupling.

Chicken Breasts with Lime Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2007
We really liked this one a lot...the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is I did change up the sauce a bit. I didn't use quite as much butter and added a little chicken broth and thickened it some. But the presentation was gorgeous...I loved the green of the chives and the dill. It was really easy to make this and admittedly I didn't want to cook....

Chicken Spaghetti III

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2007
this is one very tasty dish. i recently had chicken spaghetti for my first time and this is a terrific introduction. i used mexican velveeta...and now my mouth is on fire. but that's okay. definitely worth fixing. and if you want to shorten the fixing time, get the pre-cooked chicken strips and chop those into bite-size pieces.

Taco Seasoning II

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2006
i was in a complete fix. i was making a dish that utilizes taco meat and i couldn't find seasoning. so i dug into allrecipes and decided to go with this. i had to make a couple of quick substitutions...garlic salt and onion flakes...but boy, i was happy with the results as was my trusty fiance! plus i halved the recipe and all measurements were perfection! thank you so much:)

Simply Delicious Rice Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2006
my fiance and i really enjoyed this simple soup. i didn't have croutons, but they're not really necessary. i will definitely make this soup again. and remember...you add one cup of broth at a time. that should help alleviate the problem of it not being soupy enough!
