Szechwan Shrimp

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
Just made this for the first time and it was FANTASTIC! I added in a bag of frozen stir fry veggies (once cooked and drained) and tripled the sauce (everything in step #1) - otherwise followed the recipe as is. The amount of spice was perfect for us.

Chili-Lime Chicken Kabobs - Custom

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
I am a big fan of chili-lime flavoring and this was even better than I expected. I have already made it a few times in the month or so since I came across the recipe. I made a few modifications based on suggestions from other reviewers and will keep these changes when I make it in the future: used a fresh clove of minced garlic v. garlic powder, added fresh cilantro and doubled the lime juice - then doubled the entire marinade to have enough for veggies too. DELICIOUS!!

Chicken Scampi II

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
This is really good - I have made it with shrimp too. Based on other reviewers' recommendations, I halved the amount of butter, added only 2 tbsp. of olive oil instead of 1/4 cup, and added in 1/2 cup white wine (just white cooking wine). I also added in some chopped bell peppers and red onion for extra flavor and color.

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
I doubled the marinade to have enough for my veggies as well. The taste was nice and light but kind of bland - I only marinated everything for three hours though. Next time I make it I will try marinating longer and maybe adding more spices.

Honey Chicken Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
This has quickly become one of my favorite meals to make - the only recommendation I have (like many other reviewers) is to make more of the sauce! I personally triple the sauce each time I make it.

Marinated Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
The longer you marinate this, the better! The flavoring on this is great. My only issue has been that both times I made it, it took way longer for the meat to be fully cooked than what the directions call for. Could just be an issue with my oven though!

Sarah's Rice Pilaf

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
This is a great side dish - easy to make and goes well with a lot of meals. I added in some diced tomatoes for a little color and extra flavor, but other than that made it exactly as outlined.

Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
I am giving this only four stars - don't feel like I can give it the full five because like other reviewers, I did not use this for the sauce as outlined. I used this recipe for the cooking technique. I rubbed the ribs with beau monde, onion powder and pepper - baked each side for 15 minutes at 400 as called for. Placed the ribs in the crockpot and poured a bottle of BBQ sauce over them, added 3 cloves of minced garlic and a generous amount of splashes of liquid smoke. Covered and cooked on low for 8 hours. While I did not make the sauce as outlined in the recipe, the cooking technique was phenomenal and the ribs turned out great. I think the pre-baking is key.

Marinated Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2010
Wonderful flavor! My husband could not stop raving about these. Based on suggestions from other reviewers, I added a tablespoon of honey and extra clove of garlic. I think marinating them overnight is a must - I marinated them for about 24 hours.
