Two Ingredient Pumpkin Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2010
Really good cake! I did add 2 eggs because of the reviews and it was perfect, I did not have any trouble spreading it in the 9 x 13 pan. Used a cream cheese frosting. The flavor is perfect for this time of the year (October). Family loved it.

Slow Cooker Lancaster County Pork and Sauerkraut

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2010
We love sauerkraut but we did not like this at all. The taste of the sauerkraut overpowered the taste of the pork.

Candy Apple Jelly

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
What a great jelly recipe! So easy and great flavor. It did take about a full day to set up. I followed the recipe and would not change a thing. Found the red hots at walmart. I got 6 of the 8 oz jelly jars.

Hobo Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
Did not use the sour cream but it was so good I don't think it needed it. Must spray foil with Pam next time. I sprayed the potato/onions with cajun blast garlic butter basting sauce and sprinkled with Lawrys seasoned salt. Then put a Tbsp of butter in each packet. Loved it!

Chicken Wraps

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
I did not use the pineapple or the teriyaki sauce but I did cut the chicken in small pieces and wrapped in bacon. Then I marinated it in a store bought marinade. Baked for 30 min and they were so good! I will be making this again using different marinade flavors. Great football food. 5 stars for the idea of making these!

Slow-Cooked German Short Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
We liked the flavor of this recipe. Not a fan of the short ribs, they were fatty and greasy. Next time we will use maybe beef tips or country style ribs with the fat trimmed off. I would also double the sauce next time. Used ketchup because we didn't have chili sauce. Mixed the flour with cold water and whisked it in the sauce and it thickened up right away. Served over mashed potatoes but think it would have been better over rice.

Scott Hibb's Amazing Whisky Grilled Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
I used one slab of ribs and followed the recipe and there was enough sauce for the one slab. The only change I made was to use cane syrup in exchange for the molasses because thats what I had. The ribs were fall off the bone fork tender and the sauce has a really nice flavor. I only gave it 4 stars because it was so very very hot/spicy. The black and red pepper almost ruined the ribs for me, I don't like my mouth on fire when I'm eatting. So I would reccomend this and will save to make again but for sure I will leave out the pepper. I would maybe try adding a little more of the Jack Daniels whiskey also next time.

Wiener Schnitzel

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
I used cube steaks and seasoned my 1/2 cup of flour with 2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper. Once my steaks were coated with the bread crumbs I let them sit for about 10 minutes for the breading to set then cooked them. When they were cooked, I sprinkled with lemon juice and served them with a fried egg on top. We loved it! Served with German potato salad and grilled okra.

Easiest Pot Roast Ever

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2009
Good recipe! I used red potatoes and did not peel, just cut in half. The potatoes were perfect after 8 hours on low. I also used Better Than Bouillon beef base to spread on roast instead of the cubes. I seasoned the roast well with Lawrys seasoned salt before putting in the cooker. Very good meal.

Poppy Seed Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
Wow! Love this dressing! Did not change a thing, love the way it stays mixed and clings to the salad. It is sweet but I don't think I would put less sugar in it. This ones a keeper!

Asian Beef Skewers

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
Great flavor! I used 1/4 tsp ground ginger instead of the Tbsp of fresh ginger. Did not have a flank steak so maybe the meat I used is why we found it a little tough or maybe I didn't slice it thin enough. Anyway this recipe was awesome as for as flavor and I will be making this one again.

Easy Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2009
Here are the changes I made, other than that I followed the recipe. I added a chopped onion to the browned meat, also added 1 1/2 tsp chopped garlic, 1 1/2 tsp salt and 1 1/2 tsp cumin. Used a can of pinto beans and 1 cup green onions and 1 whole tomato chopped. The flavor was perfect. I will make it again but not as a meal, it was more like something we would serve with chips to eat while watching football. Good recipe!

French Salad Dressing

Love this dressing! I would cut in in half next time because it makes a lot. Made it without any changes and it was great. Taste just like catalina dressing.

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2009
Good and easy recipe. I mixed a can of cranberry sauce with the onion soup mix and then put it in the slow cooker, it made a wonderful sauce to serve over the turkey once it was sliced. I found this recipe in a cookbook that said you could put a frozen breast in the slow cooker and cook on high 2 hours and then low 10 hours more.

Cuban Midnight Sandwich

What a great sandwich! I cut the sauce in half (1/2 cup mayo-2 1/2 Tbsp Italian dressing-and just mixed in the 2 Tbsp mustard instead of spreading it alone)Cooked them on my George Foreman grill and they were so good! We will be having these often.

Jalapeno Chicken II

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2009
We love this recipe, the only change we made is to keep the jalapeno whole, cut a slit down the side take out the seeds and then fill with the cream cheese. Use the thin slice bacon. By the time the thick sliced bacon cooks the chicken is overcooked.

Oklahoma Cheese Grits

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2009
I cut the salts down to 1 tsp each, used velveeta, and next time I think I would try it without the eggs and worcestershire. But even though I would make these changes I still think this is a really good recipe.

We loved this cake! Followed the recipe, except sprayed pan well with Bakers Joy spray and let it cool 45 minutes in pan. It came out perfect. Would not change a thing.

Horseshoe

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
I submitted this recipe and since then have used another cheese sauce that I like better. Saute in 6 Tbsp butter, 1/4 of a onion chop fine and 1/4 of bell pepper chop fine. I cook it in a double boiler to keep cheese from burning. Add 1 1/2 cups water, pound of velveeta chopped, and to thicken sauce dissolve Tbsp cornstarch in cold water and add to sauce. With this sauce if you have any leftover its good as a dip for chips.
