My cooking tragedies
I Blew the door off my oven when I was 21. I was making my mother-in-law's Rum Balls for Christmas. In an impulsive moment I doubled the Rum content and it didn't work out so good. The funniest part was I thought someone was kicking my back door down so I ran to the kitchen to get a big butcher knife (21 year olds can be so brave and silly). I snuck to the back door wielding this knife and started screaming for the burgler to leave. Nobody was there of course so I turned around went to put the knife away in the kitchen and saw the oven door. Never laughed so hard in my life. Never made Rum Balls again either!!
