World's Best Pasta Sauce!

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2008
This sauce is great. I make it all the time now instead of buying it in the jar. I cook the meat, garlic, and onion (I used fresh onion instead of minced)and then I add it to the rest of the ingredients in the slow cooker. Set it on low and let it cook all day. I did change a couple of things though just for personal preference. Instead of the crused tomatoes, I add a can of Italian Style chopped tomatoes. I like the chunks of tomatoes and the seasonings in the tomatoes are great. I also use the bulk sweet italian sausage instead of the links. This is the greatest sauce I have ever made. Thanks for a great recipe.

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2010
I have used this recipe several times and found it to be perfect for all of the toppings I use. It holds up very well and has a great texture and flavor. I am going to use it tomorrow for an alfredo pizza. Thanks for a wonderful recipe.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2010
These were good. I got 12 big muffins out of this recipe. The batter was up to the top of the muffin liner when I filled them. These were really moist and good with the crumb topping. I think next time I might try to make it into a bread with the crumb topping.

Chicken Pot Pie VIII

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2010
I have made this several times and it has turned out perfect each time. I have made it with beef too. I saute the cubed beef and then add it to my mixture using beef broth instead of chicken. Then I let the mixture cook on the stove for about 15 minutes then pour into the pie crust and let it cook as directed. It had turned out great that way too. Thanks for the great recipe.

Restaurant Style Chicken Nachos

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2010
These were great. I used homemade salsa and about 3 chicken breasts. I made sure I drained all the liquied from the chicken and salsa after I let it simmer and before I put it on top of the nacho chips. I used about 3-4 cups of mexican cheese. Then I topped it with green onions, black olives and a chopped avacado and some sour cream. My husband really liked them and so did my very picky teenage daughter. Thanks for a great recipe.

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2010
This was the best mexican rice I have made. I have made another from this website but it wasn't as good as this. I served this with Restraunt Style Chicken Nachos from this site and it went well with it. This rice tastes just like the rice I get from my favorite mexican restaurant. Thanks for the wonderful recipe.

Oven-Fried Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2011
These were delicious!! I cut down on the oil to about 1/4 cup and used olive oil instead. I added all the ingredients including the oil in a freezer bag and added the potatoes. After seasoned I put onto a foil lined pan sprayed with cooking spray. I then baked as stated. My husband wasn't crazy about them but I think it was because of the parmesan cheese. If I make again I will cut down on it. These were great the next day fried in a pan with a little butter and served with eggs. Tasted like Bob Evans breakfast potatoes. Yummm!!!!

Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2010
These were great and so easy. You do not need to freeze the mozzarella first. Dip in the egg mixture, then the flour mixture, egg mixture, and then bread crumbs. Make sure there is a good coating of breadcrumbs and then when you fry them, they won't leak. These were awesome. Taste just like ones from my fab restaurant. Thanks for the great recipe!!!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2010
This cake is excellent. It was very moist and per previous reviews it tasted nothing like eggs. It was very rich and chocolatey. I made a chocolate buttercream frosting and microwaved it for about 10 seconds and poured it over the top. It was awesome. I have made it twice already and have gotten rave reviews each time!!! I made it exactly as written except I used miniature chocolate chips. I will definitely be making this again. I think next time I might try it in two 9 inch pans and put a filling in between. Yummy....

San Antonio Chicken Roll Ups

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
I tried a version of these tonite and they were awesome. My brother in law made them. He took a bite size piece of chicken and placed a jalapeño slice on top and placed a piece of pepper jack cheese on top of that and then wrapped it all in bacon and then put into the grill. They were awesome. Will be making them myself and also trying by rolling up the chicken too. Great 5 star recipe!!!

Italian Subs - Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2010
I have made these twice now and my husband and I LOVED them both times. I bought sub buns from the bakery the first time. Last night I made them again and bought a loaf of French bread. I spread butter on the top and bottom of bread and sprinkle with garlic powder and toast under broiler until brown. Then I put in ham, hard salami, and sandwich pepperoni and put cheese on top. Then I place under broiler again with just the bottom half with the meat to melt the cheese. I chop the lettuce with a knife, and add my cupped tomatoes and chopped red onion and mix together with the dressing as stated. I don't add any pickles to my sandwich. Sometimes I will let the dressing sit with the lettuce mix for an hour or just eat right away. I have never had a problem with my lettuce getting soggy as other people have stated. I even save it and we eat it the next day for more subs. I do add banana peppers to my sandwich too. These were very yummy!!!

Guacamole

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
So good. Just got done making this because I have been so hungry for guac. I found this recipe and decided to try it because of the high ratings. It is perfect. I didn't add as much cilantro as I should have because I didn't have that much. But it was still good. I also added 4 avacados because mine were kinda small. Thanks for the great recipe!!!

Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2011
These were awesome. I thought they were going to make my oven smoke from the bacon, but they didn't. I cooked them on a broiler pan and it really cut down on the grease. I actually didn't think they were greasy at all. I dipped the bacon in brown sugar before wrapping the smokie and then I sprinkled more on top. I forgot to put foil on the bottom of the broiler pan which made for a difficult clean up. But they were sooo delicious. Thanks for posting.....

Oreo™ Cookie Cake II

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2010
Made this cake tonite and used a white cake mix. I sprinkled with extra chocolate chips on each layer. I then made a chocolate buttercream frosting and piped it all over the cake. It was delicious. I baked it for 40 minutes but I may bake it for a few minutes less next time bc it seemed a little over baked, but it still tasted great!!!

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2010
This is the most juicy chicken I have ever made in the oven. I have made this several times already and it is the only recipe I use for roasted chicken now. I tried to make it once with onion in the inside because I didn't have any celery and it wasn't good. From my experience, make sure to just use celery and don't substitute. Thanks for a teriffic recipe. This is 5+++ stars for me.

Chicken Stew with Dumplings

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2010
I used chicken breasts and cooked them until done and then added the vegetables and seasonings and simmered it for a couple hours. Then I added a little evaporated milk and thickened with corn starch. Then I made the dumplings following the recipe. My husband loved this. Even my picky daughter liked it. I will be making this again. Thanks for a great recipe.
