Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2010
These were good. I got 12 big muffins out of this recipe. The batter was up to the top of the muffin liner when I filled them. These were really moist and good with the crumb topping. I think next time I might try to make it into a bread with the crumb topping.

Sandy's Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2010
This is a good recipe. I did it exactly as the recipe stated. I was a little worried about using uncooked macaroni. But it turned out good. I used chicken breasts and cubed them and cooked them before adding to the other ingredients. I had to cook the casserole a little longer then stated because the macaroni wasn't totally cooked after 40 minutes. I did stir it halfway through cooking and had it covered with foil for about 30 minutes. Then I sprinked more cheese on top and cooked for about 5 minutes more.

Old Fashioned Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2010
This is the first time I have ever made or tasted an apple dumpling. I had some apples I needed to use up so I thought I would try to make them. I used McIntosh because that is what I had on hand. I will try with the Granny Smiths the next time I make them. They are a little time consuming but totally worth it. I sprinkled a little extra cinnamon and nutmeg on the top before baking. They tasted wonderful. My husband liked them too. I will be making them again.

I have used this recipe several times and found it to be perfect for all of the toppings I use. It holds up very well and has a great texture and flavor. I am going to use it tomorrow for an alfredo pizza. Thanks for a wonderful recipe.

Chicken Stew with Dumplings

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2010
I used chicken breasts and cooked them until done and then added the vegetables and seasonings and simmered it for a couple hours. Then I added a little evaporated milk and thickened with corn starch. Then I made the dumplings following the recipe. My husband loved this. Even my picky daughter liked it. I will be making this again. Thanks for a great recipe.

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2010
This is the most juicy chicken I have ever made in the oven. I have made this several times already and it is the only recipe I use for roasted chicken now. I tried to make it once with onion in the inside because I didn't have any celery and it wasn't good. From my experience, make sure to just use celery and don't substitute. Thanks for a teriffic recipe. This is 5+++ stars for me.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

A little spicey for me. I think I will cut back on the spice a little next time. Good sprinkled with shredded cheese. Had a good flavor

Ranch Style Oyster Crackers

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2010
These were great. I cut back on the oil by 1/4 cup. But otherwise I followed the recipe exact. My stepson and his girlfriend couldn't get enough of these when I made them.

Banana Cake II

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2010
Kind of reminded me of banana bread. Not so cakey. I might try cake flour next time. The flavor was great though. I used cream chesse frosting with it. I think next time it will be good with a vanilla frosting or glaze. Thanks for a great recipe.

Spanish Rice II

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2010
I have made this a couple of times now. The first time I made it I followed the recipe and it was perfect. The second time I made it without the green pepper because I didn't have any. It was good either way. Thanks for a great recipe

Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2009
I have made this a few times and every time I do it has came out perfect. My husband is not a big pork eater because usually it is so dry. But with this recipe it is juicy. We have made it in the oven and on the grill in the summertime and it has came out great each way. Thanks for a great recipe.

Easy Steak Sandwich

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
Love this recipe. The first time I made this with a Sirloin Steak I found on sale. I cut it really thin and then fried it up & then fried up the onion, mushroom and green pepper. Cut open a loaf of Italian Bread and toasted it. Then topped it with steak and veggies and put cheese on top. Put back in oven on broil for a minute to melt the cheese. Added steak sauce to my portion and it was soooo delicious.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
This is one of the best roll recipes I've tried. I have made this before but I made it again last night and the dough perfect. I put into a 11x7 greased pan and they rose wonderfully. I would rate it higher if I could.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2008
I have made this recipe twice using Corrine's suggestions. I loved it. I like the taste of the red wine in the stew. I think I may try to make it with the original recipe next time since that way gets awesome reviews also. I love this stew with the ultimate cornbread recipe also on this site.

Zesty Salsa

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2008
I liked this but it wasn't the best salsa. It was great for a quick fix. I would suggest adding a finely chopped jalapeno for a little more kick. Also add some lime juice. I think that might have been what was missing when I made it. It is good with the lime flavored tortilla chips. My husband and his brother liked.
