My Wedding Day
About this Cook
I started cooking when I was about 18 or 19. I wasn't really good until I met my husband. Then I started experimenting and making new things. I love all recipes because I can try all sorts of new things. My husband loves to be my guinea pig.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake. I make my own pie crusts so I do all of the desserts for our Holiday get togethers. My in-laws have made me the all time pie maker. I also love to make salads and appetizers for all of our parties and get togethers.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to make cookies at Christmas. And as much work as it is to make 7 or 8 pies for Christmas dinner I still enjoy it.
My cooking triumphs
I made my first homemade cherry pie this year. My fater-in-law brought me two big bowls of cherries that I had to pit and I made 4 pies with them. They came out perfect. I was very proud of myself. It always feels good when someone tells me how good my cooking is.
My cooking tragedies
Well when I was about 15 years old I burnt spaghettio's. Don't ask. I got made fun of by my brothers forever.

Brown Sugar Smokies
These were awesome. I thought they were going to make my oven smoke from the bacon, but they didn't. I cooked them on a broiler pan and it really cut down on the grease. I actually didn't think they were greasy at all. I dipped the bacon in brown sugar before wrapping the smokie and then I sprinkled more on top. I forgot to put foil on the bottom of the broiler pan which made for a difficult clean up. But they were sooo delicious. Thanks for posting.....

Guacamole
So good. Just got done making this because I have been so hungry for guac. I found this recipe and decided to try it because of the high ratings. It is perfect. I didn't add as much cilantro as I should have because I didn't have that much. But it was still good. I also added 4 avacados because mine were kinda small. Thanks for the great recipe!!!
