About this Cook
I love to experiment in the kitchen! I started cooking arounf 12 as my mom had 5 of us, so that made things easier. I seem to have a knack for desserts. It's also a good feeling to be in the throes of creation!
My favorite things to cook
Breads, pies, chicken, orange, cakes, eggs, etc.
My favorite family cooking traditions
A lot of homemade food; meatloaf, fried chicken, twice baked potatoes, lasagna, jimmy changas, etc.
My cooking triumphs
10th grade Home Ec becuase the lessons at 16 stuck with me.
My cooking tragedies
A whole chicken and turkey, I'm still scared to cook these.

Apple Pie
This apple pie is easy to make, and I had to substitute some fresh orange juice in the place of lemon juice to toss and coat the apples with, before adding the spice-sugar-flour mixture. I just put it in the oven, for I decided to make something sweet since I cannot sleep. Maybe I'm a baker at night, but the apartment smells just wonderful, and I cannot wait to taste-test the apple pie. This is the first one I ever made, so I am very excited to see the results! Thank You!

Spiced Cauliflower Soup
This recipe also makes for a great vegetable dip or even a spread, with the right amount of tinkering! Perfect for having your cauliflower and eating it, too!
