Fried Rice Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2006
My family loves this recipe, the only thing I do differently is to cook the rice a day ahead and put it in the fridge until ready to use. This makes the rice less sticky and more "restaurant style"!

Lemon Curd

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
Great googale! This was more than wonderful! I made it for our Women's Tea at church and it was all gone! The cooking time for me was around 30 minutes before thickening up. **Up-Date** I made this again and the cooking time for high altitude is atleast 30 min. We are at about 3700 ft where we live. Everytime I make this the crowd goes wild and atleast one person wants to lick the bowl :) This curd is great for scones, cake filling, pie filling, you could even put it on banana bread. I personally think you could use a spoon...:)

This meringue came out fabulous, and was so easy. After having the pie in the fridge overnight there was no weeping either. The taste was spot on! Thank you!

I gave this recipe a 5 because it had a great taste and the vegetables went unnoticed by my family-Bonus!

Used brown sugar in place of maple syrup (it's what I had on hand) and my entire family loved this recipe!

Rice Crust for Pizza

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2010
It is what is is, a rice crust. It was made for my GF son, but we all tried a bit. It was soooo good! I can see adding different seasonings and meats. I baked the crust for twice the time, put sauce and toppings on, and then cooked until the cheese was hot and bubbly. Everyone agreed the taste was very good, even though it is not a "normal" pizza crust.

Angler's Delight

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2006
The family gave the rating of 4 stars (the boys liked it a lot!). My husband and I would of liked more spice, but to be fair to the recipe I didn't add but a pinch of cayenne so the kids would be happy :) I also only cooked the fish about 3-4 minutes per side and it was perfect.

Salisbury Steak

These were wonderful, and gluten-free and dairy-free! I didn't have any pork on hand so I just used burger and made a brown au jus gravy for the top (along with mashed potatoes YUM!)

Stuffed Strawberries

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2010
And the crowd went wild!!! I made these for a wedding reception and the strawberries were the biggest hit! Instead of slicing down to fill, I used a huller to core out the top. I garnished with mint leaves dipped in chocolate, beautiful!!! and delicious!

Mall Pretzels

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2008
I made these twice, once following the recipe exactly and I would give it a 4 * for the recipe...I then made them and boiled the pretzels in water and baking soda before baking for 30 seconds. Wow! What a difference! Nice crust on the outside and chewy middle. Without boiling they came out yummy, but more like pizza bread. Boiled they came out like pretzels, fantastic! Thank you for the recipe!

Hungarian Goulash

My family really liked this recipe. I used ground beef and sauted onions, garlic and celery with the meat. The end result was great with lots of flavor~this recipe is very flexible, add what you have on hand and season until you are satisfied with flavor.

Donna's Pound Cake

Not sure what happened, followed the directions to a "T" and the cake fell in the middle. The only thing different is I cooked it in a convection oven.

Pancit

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
My family was very pleased with this meal and recieved the family rating of 4*, they thought it would be better if I left the vegetables "chunkier" to give more contrast to the meat and rice noodles.

Dave's Low Country Boil

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2012
Made this for my son's 15th birthday dinner, fantastic! I left out the cayenne and wished I hadn't. Will be making again and adding the cayenne :) Used more sausage and less crab leg and shrimp, easier on the pocketbook. Very good and fun famiy dinner.
