Fried Rice Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2006
My family loves this recipe, the only thing I do differently is to cook the rice a day ahead and put it in the fridge until ready to use. This makes the rice less sticky and more "restaurant style"!

This went over well with the boys and the adults! This is such an easy mix n'match meal. You can use whatever you have in the pantry & fridge! Thank you for such a wonderful recipe idea.

Angler's Delight

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2006
The family gave the rating of 4 stars (the boys liked it a lot!). My husband and I would of liked more spice, but to be fair to the recipe I didn't add but a pinch of cayenne so the kids would be happy :) I also only cooked the fish about 3-4 minutes per side and it was perfect.

Dump Cake IV

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2006
I am known for using all my friends and family for guinea pigs, this recipe was made 15 of us and every single person-young and old-raved about this cake! Make sure to cover the cake mix with sliced butter/margerine to make it totally decadent!

Hungarian Goulash

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2007
My family really liked this recipe. I used ground beef and sauted onions, garlic and celery with the meat. The end result was great with lots of flavor~this recipe is very flexible, add what you have on hand and season until you are satisfied with flavor.

Acapulco Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2007
The whole family loved it. The kids weren't to impressed with the huge chunks of vegies I used, so next time I will chop smaller. The taste was great though!

Chicken Shepherd's Pie

Our family enjoyed this, I gave it thee stars because I had to doctor the flavor up with extra seasonings. The original recipe is a little bland.

This is a good recipe if you like dill, I love dill and think they are great. Some others in the family weren't so impressed with the strong dill taste. :) So follow your taste buds!

Salisbury Steak

I made salisbury meatballs with these sans the bread crumbs to make them gluten free. Served with rice- they are fantastic, just make sure to have enough gravy!

Pancit

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
My family was very pleased with this meal and recieved the family rating of 4*, they thought it would be better if I left the vegetables "chunkier" to give more contrast to the meat and rice noodles.

Lemon Curd

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
Great googale! This was more than wonderful! I made it for our Women's Tea at church and it was all gone! The cooking time for me was around 30 minutes before thickening up. **Up-Date** I made this again and the cooking time for high altitude is atleast 30 min. We are at about 3700 ft where we live. Everytime I make this the crowd goes wild and atleast one person wants to lick the bowl :) This curd is great for scones, cake filling, pie filling, you could even put it on banana bread. I personally think you could use a spoon...:)

I only gave it a 3 star because I had to make numerous modifications to make it non-blah. But it is a great springboard recipe.

These were wonderful, and gluten-free and dairy-free! I didn't have any pork on hand so I just used burger and made a brown au jus gravy for the top (along with mashed potatoes YUM!)
