Egg-Free Low-Fat Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
I made this twice so far. The first time, I made them as drop cookies. It was so-so. But today, I made them using a 11x7 pan. It's fantastic. It's soooo much better when it's made in a bar form. Try it!

Cornmeal Cookies I

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2008
These tasted like butter cookies. There was only a slight hint of the taste of cornmeal. I was wondering if it's because I used finely ground cornmeal.

Oatmeal Animal Crackers

I had such a hard time getting it off the cookie sheets despite greasing the cookie sheets. But the taste is great!

Vegan Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
It was very dry. If I were to make this again, I'll either add more water or add a little applesauce to make it more moist.

Potato Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
I made this out of curiosity. Was wondering how can savoury potato chips be a major ingredient in making cookies. It was worth trying. Whoever tried the cookies loved it! But the only problem is that it's very very greasy. It's like eating butter mixed with chips. I personally don't like it for the oily taste.

Hong Kong Style Egg Tarts

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
My first attempt at making my own Egg Tarts. I read the reviews about more filling than the dough for the crust so I halved the filling. But guess what, I ended up with too much dough for the crust. I made 12 tarts using a muffin pan, using up all the filling but had dough left over. I agree that 425 degrees is too high a temperature so I baked it at 375 degrees instead. Perfect! Jello-like custard filling with a crust that's not too sweet. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Cornmeal Strawberry Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2006
I only had strawberry flavoured yoghurt in my fridge so I used it in place of plain yoghurt. I also did not have fresh strawberries. maybe it's due to the lack of the sliced fresh strawberries that my cake turned out to be dry. but i'll try again, this time with the strawberries. :)

Lemon Fluff Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2006
thanks for the great recipe! it's wonderful. however, i would liek to suggest some additions to this recipe. can try adding some lemon zest and fresh lemon juice in place of the lemon extract for a nice lemony taste. :)

Lemon Custard Pudding Cake

Reviewed: May 27, 2006
this is a great recipe! it's easy and delicious!! however, i find that it's a still a tad too sweet even though i have reduced the sugar amount to 1 1/2 cups. and also, i find that the top browns kinda fast so i suggest that the pan to be covered loosely with a foil while baking.
