Thai Chicken Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2006
EXCELLENT flavor!!! I used ground turkey and only 1 1/2 cups of regular bread crumbs, but other than that, I followed the recipe exactly. I wasn't as impressed with the sauce, and now that I've read the reviews, I'll try the sour cream/mayo mix. I also think a fresh mango salsa or chutney would be great on these burgers.

Chocolate Malt Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2006
I did not use the "brownie" portion of this recipe, only the frosting. I used Chocolate Malt flavored Ovaltine. It worked really well. I thought it was delicious, and the frosting got great reviews from all!

Sean's Falafel and Cucumber Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2006
This sounds like so much work, but it really is quite easy. As another review said, if my kid enjoys it... it's a hit!! I am anxious to try them baked, rather than fried. The sauce was good, but I've since found a mint yogurt sauce that we prefer to make with this. Thanks, Sean... I always keep garbanzo beans in the pantry now!

Gloria's Sausage Gravy with Biscuits

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2006
I did not make the biscuits (as some other reviewers said, it was too long of a process for the morning), however I've made this gravy recipe several times. While it is very thick, I have learned to double the recipe (probably could triple) EXCEPT for the sausage.

Chilie Pork Tacos

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2006
This was a fairly fast dinner to put together. I also changed mine a bit by adding a chopped, fresh jalapeno, along with a tbsp. of cumin. We typically garnish our tacos with fresh cilantro instead of lettuce, and this always seems to add flavor to ANY type of taco. Thanks for sharing this recipe... it will be a keeper!

Roquefort Pear Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2006
I first made this salad for a Christmas potluck, where it was a hit! I have continued to make this and modify it slightly each time. It is great with crisp apples, such as Pink Ladys (if you don't have any pears on hand)... walnuts are also wonderful, in place of the pecans... add some thinly sliced grilled chicken for a "main dish"... it's fantastic!
