To Die For Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2006
This recipe tasted awesome, but the measurements seemed a little off. I doubt I used even 1 16 oz box of pasta much less 24 oz. I also added extra cheese. =) Family loved it!

Caramel Pie II

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2006
I make this pie all the time and everyone loves it! I use the fat free sweetened condensed milk and it tastes just as good! I also allow my cans to cool for 40 minutes on one side, then flip over for another 40 minutes. If not, there is a build-up of pressure and it's a pain to open the cans. I let the pie cool in the fridge for at least 8 hours, otherwise the caramel is not sweet. Be sure to add the cool whip after it has cooled b/c it will melt if the pie is still warm. I also garnish with mini chocolate chips.

Bacon Cheese Treats

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2006
I thought this recipe was okay, but everyone else seemed to really like them. I used one 4.4 oz container of bacon bits and you could barely see the cream cheese. I couldn't image using nearly 3 containers to equal the 12 oz that the recipe calls for.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2007
These were yummy! I inserted toothpicks in the strawberries and used a wooden spoon to either coat the strawberries in chocolate or roll the strawberry in the chocolate. When I tried dipping them while the chocolate was in the double boiler, the steam kept burning me and the strawberries kept falling off. It was much easier the other way. =)

Chocolate Mudslide Frozen Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2007
I fixed this for Thanksgiving and everyone loved it! I made a crust out of Oreos and margarine. This pie is best left in the freezer. It doesn't get too hard. The topping is AMAZING!

Magic Peanut Butter Middles

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2008
I was fairly disappointed in this recipe. I thought that the chocolate cookie part was very bland. I may would try this again with a different cookie dough recipe. I also added 1 Tbsp of milk to the dough and refrigerated it while preparing the filling. For those that have had trouble with a crumbly PB filling... keep smashing the PB and conf sugar with the mixing spoon until the PB begins to get a little oily. As far as wrapping the cookies in the dough, I had no problem. I took about 1 Tbsp of cookie dough and smashed it flat with my palm on my cutting board. I set a PB ball in the middle and wrapped it kinda like a burrito. I then rolled it around in my palm similar to the way I did with the PB balls. All of the cookies were nice, round balls until I flattened them a little with a flat glass. I used a tsp to sprinkle them with sugar. The cookies turned out very pretty, but lacked in taste for me. =(

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2008
This recipe was good. I had to use a bigger baking dish (12x14 I think) as a 9x13 wasn't near big enough! This recipe makes a ton and lasts for several days in the fridge.

Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2008
Yum! This trifle turned out delicious and beautiful! I followed the suggestion of others and used 1/2 pint of whipping cream mixed with 3 Tbsp of sugar instead of the 8 oz cool whip. The chocolate mixture was thick and wonderful! I also used a peanut butter cup brownie mix and everyone kept asking what tasted so good in the brownies. I garnished with mini chocolate chips and Oreo crumbs I had left over from another dessert I was making.

Gooey Butter Cake III

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2008
This is so good! The recipe I have for this is called Neiman Marcus Cake. The only difference is no vanilla in the cake mix part and add a little cinnamon in the cream cheese mixture. I also only baked it 35 minutes. Yummy!!!!!

Chocolate Mousse Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2008
This pie was very good! I used some 1 tsp amaretto in place of 1 tsp of the water (in the chocolate mixture) for an extra almond flavor. I also made a homemade Oreo crust to go with it.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
This bruschetta is very good! I don't always like bruschetta, but this recipe is very good. The oils taste great as well as the sun dried tomatoes. I like my mixture sit over night to really absorb the flavors. My guests said it was the best they had ever had!

Three Cheese Garlic Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
I followed the recipe exactly and the dish was way too soupy! I also cooked at a higher temp (330) for at least an additional 10 minutes. The potatoes were still not quite done. The flavors in the recipe were very good, so I am willing to try it again. I wanted to try the original recipe before altering it with the other suggested reviews.

The recipe was good, but nothing exceptional. I did like that it was spicy, easy/quick to make, and was carb friendly! I would make again.

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
This recipe is Awesome!! Probably one of my new favorite chicken recipes and so easy to make! The one cup of cracker crumbs was just enough for 3 really large boneless chicken breasts. I also figured out is was easier to put the crumbs on a plate rather than in a bowl to dredge. I'm already looking forward to the leftovers tonight!!
